  • Hello - thanks for your comment. I didn't have specific instructions for making a kick spindle. The bearing is right at the bottom of the shaft, where it joins at the bottom. You don't actually need a bearing, you can just work the shaft into a point at the bottom and that will reduce the friction. That might even be the better way to go. I had troubles finding a bearing that was good and not expensive. Hope that helps. :)

  • so how is the ball bearing in it? i want to make one and i'm ok with wood working but all the descriptions say they have bearings and i can't figure that out. did you use instructions? thanks for inspiring vid!

  • You are so innovative! Well done in making your own kick spindle. I would love one too and you prove I can! Thanks for sharing your time, talents, skills. And soft soled shoes do better than bare feet that have oils on them and would eventually stain the bottom whorl. Thanks again.
