There are NO blasphemy laws in any western country that I am aware of. Call moses a liar, or Joshua a murderer, and some people might be offended. One might even find reason to assert that Jesus was an invented Godly superhero. In Pakistan a woman was sentenced to DEATH for saying, "Your prophet had worms in his mouth before he died".

Christians and Jews are also believers in God and if their understanding differs from muslims, it is not upto the muslims to declare them as unbelievers. Throughout the Quran, God has said leave the disbelievers alone as it is between God and his creation to judge...rather than upon the muslims to take revenge.

This blasphemy law is a corruption of the hadith books...just like many false concepts.

Islam was advancing or progressing VERY slowly from the year 650 (Mohammad's death) to around the year 1100 when Al-Ghazali came and froze Islam in time. You might like to read more about him and what he was able to do.
