Wow...Amazing video!!...Especially from 1:24 to 1:40 where the cars are passing by that road that's being scraped with the leaves that are blown by the wind....it's just mesmerizing... :)
Group C in late 80s to early 90s was probably the best racing category with diversified participants in the history. Porsche, Jaguar, Mercedes, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda...most of the major manufacturers played. I miss those days.
Agreed 100% Insane engines/hp, amazing aerodynamics and cars....crazy drivers and NO AIDS they had to drive these monsters with their brains, not the computers. C11 was the nicest ever!!
Very very nice video. Like 2stroke4me said ''As if i was watching the television many years ago'..Interesting choice of music as well..Keep up the good work
With this "A short clip mostly made as a test." you certainly made my eyes water! As if i was watching the tv many years ago. The best racing ever!! Thanks, 5* and a new favourite!
Porsche 956/962 with the aluminium flat six turbo engine: it produced +800bhp at the end of his career. Created with the guidance of Porsches Norbert Singer, it was ultralight, and a huge amount of downforce with the help of ground-effect. In low downforce configuration at Le Mans, at the full mulsanne straight, the 956/962 would reach +240mph in 1988!! 'A lasershow at the kink !'
Also remembering the death of Stefan Bellof, Jo Gartner, and Manfred Winkelhock...
i personally believed the Lancia Lc2 was better than both those combined :D doesn't have that huge 80's back fin like the R92Cp and the 962C. :Dv but they were great cars even though it was not my particular style of a car :).
From a golden era when racing was tough, the drivers where playboys (and not boys) and cigarette advertisement was legal. All topped of with the best theme tune ever; John Barry's "The Persuaders"..brilliant!
Yup, most are former F1 drivers from the 60´s and 70´s. Here they where still driving in the mid 80´s with cars that was just as competetive as the f1 cars. Skill, talent and monstercars, could not have been any better. :o)
At least we were able to have dreams, now we all know it's gonna be a fucking disaster... I hate 2000's

no, the Porsche 962C is better than the Nissan R92CP in my opinion. And bro, it's Porsche. Pronounced "porsha", not "porsh". :D

thx for the video
only CanAm cars and the Sportscars (S5.0) of the early 70s are in my oppinion as great to watch as the mighty Group C cars.

And what do we have as the modern day equivalent???
Diesel powered Audi's & Peugeot's, it's so stupid. Stop the Diseasel crap and bring back Group C rule's & cars again.
