You might have seen it on Instructables. It costs near nothing to make, if you already have an arduino or another a/d converter and some wire. The anti-static gloves don't cost much.

I remeber seeing this exact project, but i cannot remember where. About how much did this cost to make?

i guess if you were to pulse at different frequencies or something to differentiate between contact points...
or else, you could track more than one point and points would create a shape, but you wouldn't get any sensitivity within the shape. i think.
