Looks really good. I have the 2000 and would not mind getting the 3000 at all. I do feel like they are really cramming allot of functionality into it which is a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it. I just wished that Sony would have thought about the design a bit more. I rather prefer a Right Thumbstick in place of a microphone or HD output.

Microphone = no need to buy the headset and stuff = cheaper, but worth it?

Joy Stick = a little bit further out = why?

this one is already out, there isnt too much of a need to buy a new psp just for the 3000 model, though the built in mic and screen are pretty cool and have finally sold me into getting one finally, my bros god of war psp was badass. But, If you really want the new built in mic and bright screen, especially with the insurance (depending on the store they'll practically hand you one cause its newer, however that red psp and kratos was just awesome. your choice.

I've noticed, no, on the contrary, I couldn't even one see any scanlines when playing dissidia. I mean, I even put the screen right up to my eyes and can't see then. Though, I can see then on the XMB icons and sometimes they become really visible. I guess they are somewhat visible on the only other game I own, Monster Hunter 2ndG. My point is, maybe the scanline effect may be lessened or something by software in newly released games. It's just an observation, I'm no expert though.

only some PSP 3000 have interlacing problems because the manufacturer probably had defective LCDs. But i advise ppl sticking to the 2000. 3000 version doesnt have much difference excpet the ring on the back. SOme say 3000 is faster, but that is also been said when 1000 vs 2000 and not much difference. And PSP 3000 comes at a large disadvantage. Sony made digital signatures just like Microsoft.

and the reason you think only some of them have the problem, is because some people are less susceptible to the lines, and you can only see the lines in scrolling games, e.g. 2d scrollers, and those games are mostly the reason that people buy the PSP

I dont really care whether there are problems in the screen, truthfully all sort of screen have minor problems. People are worried about hacking it. sony is going to make a battery which is sold seperately, were the orginal battery which comes with the PSP lasts 3,5-4 hours. The sold seperately battery lasts very much longer and not to expensive either. it lasts 8-10hours which isnt bad at all.

That screen is worth upgrading to. No reflection and great screen. U cant imagine it but all PSP owners want one.
