'sticks clip's in air only, of the an air wide, and to still makes a sound, of that for such control, is as being is our own'; 'Jailangaru Pakarnu' :)
I love this song! I first heard it in Canberra at the Australian National Museum. The tune is so catchy and the music video is great. I listend to the song 3 times at the museum. Now I started searching for the song on the internet, it took me ages to find it. But thanks to youtube I can enjoy it over and over :D
And I will get a copy of their Go Bush! album as well.
I grew up listening to warumpi band and now i have passed George's music on to my children. they absolutely love rocking to the renowned warumpi band. they are Aussie rock icons in book!
Thanks for posting this music clip, haven't seen it for a long time. Will always remember the times I saw them and their late lead singer George who we dubbed 'The Black Mick Jagger'.
The infuence of this sound is rooted from Chuck Berry

Incredibly catchy, toe-tapping tune. Should have been a hit etc.
Am I the only one who thinks that there is a distinct Berry (Chuck) flavour?
intocrap 2 years ago
True. George himself (singer) named Chuck Berry as one of his biggest influences.
yakidk89 2 years ago
na man all us aboriginal musicians are influenced by early chuck berry style rock music and even reggae music aswell
