Even if all contestants in this show danced to the Habanera every single time when they do Paso, it'll be far more convincing than people dancing to random pieces music. I mean no wonder the judges always pick on the musicality of the dancers, how are you supposed to bring out the arrogance of the matador when you don't have those elongated retardation notes in Spanish music?

Giles is the best partner Cheryl ever had, they just had soooo much connection. And with Giles, Cheryl was able to really show the world what she can do.

I have lost count on the number of times I have watched this clip. This was [the] most mesmerizing dance ever performed on DTWS.

While Len [might] be right in saying that the choreography might have been "a bit hectic in some places", he should not have penalized Gilles for it. Cheryl was the choreographer and Gilles simply executed her vision. Len should have evaluated Gilles' performance separate from the choreography...and it really should have been a 10.

this performance gave me chills. the passion, the intensity, and the incredible chemistry between these two is truly mind blowing. he goes out there and performs his routines effortlessly. look at those sharp, crisp movements, that precise footwork, and the intensity on his face and in his eyes.

he looks like he's been doing this for years. you would never know that he's never had any dance experience. he was brilliant and cheryl's choreography was incredible.

I think the key difference between Gilles and Sabrina Bryan (since they had 10s in week 4 as well) is that Gilles is humble and charming.

Sabrina mainly got eliminated because the public didn't like her attitude. She was a good dancer, but she grated on people's nerves...
