Definitely the girls were very talented and they did add to the success of Dino and he said in an interview that he thought they were very talented. So even he gave them the credit they were due!!!!!
Dean loved these ladies, and so did their musical director, Lee Hale; the producer of Dean's series, Greg Garrison; and the audiences who watched the program week in and week out.
Unquestionably, Dean Martin was an exceptional performer and larger-than-life personality, but all of these women had talent in their own right, and contributed substantially to the popularity of The Dean Martin Show. You can love Dean without needlessly putting down these beautiful and gifted gals.
Back in the good old days when pretty much every big star would have a big Christmas special, Dean would have a "Christmas in California" special.
While Bing and Andy Williams and Perry Como would have these sets of Winter, and snow, and sleigh rides and carolling, Dean would have christmas carols set against fun and sun and palm trees, and surfing.. They were great.
Did Dean do more dean martin shows after the 1970s? I'm watching a promo for the dvd sets and they show david hasselhoff. Must have done specials later...
The Dean Martin Show went from about 1965-73, then it became The Dean Martin Comedy Hour, and it ran until 1984. After that, he had the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts - which is probably the show in which you saw David Hasselhoff.
I was wondering if that was Jayne Kennedy. She is GORGEOUS. I didn't know that she could sing.

Thanks for posting. Another one I've never seen. Mind if I ask where this came from? Have they started with more Guthy Renker DVDs? Thanks, again.
