falkerhard, yes but the problem with the tube trains is that they just fit the tunnels and If they were as square as the metros they would have to be very, very low down
I wasn't aware they were planning on refurbishing central station metro station. But if they are, then I suppose they will be doing it like Haymarket, I hope so anyway.
I don't need to get a few pics of anything and especially not of a metro with graffiti on it as I wouldn't want glorify such discracefull behavier done by mindless idiots!!!!!!!
wahey ne1 actually bin on our metro they r fukin shite tbh cant believe ya think it is cool. well if ya go on it lyk everyday they r borin bt they do get ya frm A 2 B fairly quickly
its cool cos you dont have to pay. the fine for not payin is only £20, you'd save more than that in 10 journeys, and you hardley ever see the inspectors. Metro is free!! come and have a go!
This comment is for JarralsMassive. I have had a couple of close shaves with the metro inspecters. I have got on the Haymarket Metro Sation with an out of date bus pass, and got off at the Monument Metro Station, and when I was going up the escalators I was sweating like mad. Luckily there were no metro inspectors at the barriers.
Inspectors are nowt to worry about man. i've blagged past them loads of times, just tell em you're on the way to the hospital cos your lass is gonna drop a bairn or that you feel suicidal, medical stuf always works well. Another top tip is get one of ya mates details or find someone you don't like and give theirs. ITS FREEEEE! I use the metro twice a day, 5 days a week. average fair is £2, thats £20 a week. If i get stopped once iv'e saved already. WOOO!
Some of the metro system is underground. Mainly the part that runs under the city center area. The vast majority of the system runs over ground and uses old NER infrastructer.
does anyone know the train number of the first metrocar?

It was already that shape underneath. They just removed the cladding to expose the circular shape underneath.

This is the perfect shape for an underground mass transit train unlike London tube. Why? Well since it's a square more people can fit in standing up.

how many miles of this track/system are underground?
penrhosgarnedd 3 years ago
Seven stations under the city centre (about two miles) and the other 53 or so stations above ground.

The one thing you don't get from the video is the gale force wind that blows down the platform when the metro comes hurtling into the station!
