So, to the foreign healthcare workers in the Philippines, do not be frustrated. It is not your fault the US is in recession. Their economy is upside down right now. When everything is back to positive, then they will open doors for you because US need you more than you need the US.
Because of that, they want us. They run after us. They call us in the middle of the night, Philippine time, just to get our contract. They outbid one another to get the worker. That's how foreign workers go to the US. They're sought after! The foreign worker needs the US job, but now as bad as the US needs foreign workers to supply the demand that their own US citizens cannot supply.
That is where their insecurities sprung! We have the education that they only wish to have. We have the degrees that they cannot afford to study and attain. So, they become the subordinates to us, foreigners. The solution to these US people? Get the required education that your job seekers need so that they won't have to go outside the country to find the eligible people to do the job. Simple as that. You don't have the education for it, then, you're not qualified. Filipinos are highly educated.
The reason why there are more Filipinos or foreigners who are in the healthcare business, in general, not just in nursing is because of the simple fact that Medical education is highly pursued by the Filipinos and other foreigners. Our families also help with our education. In the US, rarely do you see parents helping their children to go to college or universities. In result, most of them cannot get bachelor degrees because they simply cannot afford it. Sad but true for them.

Maraming nurses ngayon kasi yung ibang mga schools jan nag-papaa-graduate ng libo-libo kahit alam nilang hindi competent ung mga nagiging mga product nila. Puro income ang iniisip ng mga income generating schools na mga ganyan kaya nga bansa natin, marami ngang nurses, hindi naman lahat handa maging nurse. Kaya tama ung ginawa ng BON ngayon, binaba nila ung cut-off ng passing rate ng NLE, un nagsilabasan ung mga hindi competent na nsg schools sa buong bansa. :)

@Drinzo101 Funny? My criticisms are not humorous. Nursing students that are rightfully called REGISTERED NURSES are recognized because of BOARD EXAM. What part of that can't you understand? I can't EAT your words, nor type a reply with my EYES CLOSED. The brain interprets a statement to be true or false, not the EARS.
Conclusion:
You're still the one with cognitive problems, and maladaptive behavior patterns. A more appropriate term to use is IMPAIRED. Think about it, just don't eat it.

That's how foreign workers go to the US. They're sought after! The foreign worker needs the US job, but now as bad as the US needs foreign workers to supply the demand that their own US citizens cannot supply.

That is where their insecurities sprung! We have the education that they only wish to have. We have the degrees that they cannot afford to study and attain. So, they become the subordinates to us, foreigners. The solution to these US people? Get the required education that your job seekers need so that they won't have to go outside the country to find the eligible people to do the job. Simple as that. You don't have the education for it, then, you're not qualified. Filipinos are highly educated.

The reason why there are more Filipinos or foreigners who are in the healthcare business, in general, not just in nursing is because of the simple fact that Medical education is highly pursued by the Filipinos and other foreigners. Our families also help with our education. In the US, rarely do you see parents helping their children to go to college or universities. In result, most of them cannot get bachelor degrees because they simply cannot afford it. Sad but true for them.

makatawa jud ko aning kantaha wui,,bisan psychology ko...pero dili raman ni sa nursing ma apply,,tanan man nga kurso,,pero number 1 jud ang nursing ma igo ani kay tinood jud ni kaayo...sus ginoo mga kaila nga nursing student mga gwapa pa sa ist year,,inig abot na sa 3rd year mangalusyang na..sa amo gani skol barato ra tuition kay state univ man,pero sa nursing mas mahal ila tuition..hahahaha..

Maraming nurses ngayon kasi yung ibang mga schools jan nag-papaa-graduate ng libo-libo kahit alam nilang hindi competent ung mga nagiging mga product nila. Puro income ang iniisip ng mga income generating schools na mga ganyan kaya nga bansa natin, marami ngang nurses, hindi naman lahat handa maging nurse. Kaya tama ung ginawa ng BON ngayon, binaba nila ung cut-off ng passing rate ng NLE, un nagsilabasan ung mga hindi competent na nsg schools sa buong bansa. :)

i agree with this video. we should see the real situation sa mga Filipino nurses not just basing on our own status. tungod sa kagamay sa sweldo sa nurses we in turn moved out from our country.. leaving behind the filipino people who needs much of our attention and care. isn't it a boomerang on our part? if only there would be just compensation to the nurses.. for sure, kasinahan ta sa mga tawo sa tibuok kalibutan because we are known for our passion sa work.

@oilHlio we need not to have a link nga world class ang mga pinoy.. we know it by heart... and to you my friend, don't dare to have that baluktot thinking bout filipino nurses, cuz you don't know what they've been thru... NCLEX results does not define if a person has good training or not. One of the reasons why dako ug rating ang mga US graduates kay they are used to the standards and lifestyles sa ilang country.

@ oilHlio - oh sure nursing school in the US produces the best RN's in healthcare! I can best describe a nurse that did nursing in the US in a single object - a BOOK (an object that is under the impression that it's perfect by it's author but needs to be proofread before making a copy and critic so badly by it's readers and media, and so full of imperfections from cover to cover.)
