Great video! From the looks of the aircraft this appears to be an A330-200. On the 200 doors 3 are smaller in size from the rest. The slides on the 200 at doors 3L3R are only used for land evacuations and not in a ditching, but to serve as a flotation device. The 300 doors 3R3L are used as both evac slides and rafts in the event of ditching. That is how to tell the difference of the A330-200/300. Also the 200 is shorter in size than the 300. Hope this helps those curious out there! Fly safe
Nice video! Years ago my father and I would on Sundays watch planes at the Hutchinson airport. Nothing as large or exciting where you are. Mostly single engine, and every once in a while military jets from Wichita would do touch and goes. But it is one of my fondness memories of time spent with him.
Just to let you know Cessna154, I subscribed to you because of the quantity and quality of FSX videos. I see that this channel has now been over run with real life aviation videos. While not entirely bad, they're just not what I'm looking for. So this is why I am unsubscribing from your channel.
As I have told viewers in a previous video, the reality of the situation is; most viewers want a mix of real aviation and FS. Because of real life commitments (COLLEGE) I simply don't have the time to edit long FS videos. Luckily, final exams end Thursday so viewers can expect more FS coming very soon.
i like the way you presnt your videos..it isn't all one subject like only airliners or all military..yadda yadda..you have a little of everything..which is great...thanks.
Monopods suck. Even a cheap tripod is better than a monopod. Monopods are more for guys that have to move around a lot like sports photgraphers who don't have time to setup a tripod for every shot.
@zeroturbulence Tripods would be troublesome for me because the ground is very uneven at the spotting locations and the airport runways and environment is not exactly flat. So when you use a tripod, and try to pan left or right, the video appears very off-center even if the tripod is perfectly level - I've tried it.
@Cessna154 I don't know if you already tried this but if the ground is uneven I adjust the length of each leg independently so that the camera base is level all the way around.
Am I the only one who heard the insufferable high pitch tone throughout this entire video? Great stuff on mute though and I concur a tripod would be useful.
Since the merger, Delta's fleet is even more impressive then usual. I know they have both 2 and 3 (200 & 300) series A330's. Any idea which particular version this was?
Nice video and your assessment of the quality and other environmental issues was very appreciated.
That aircraft is a dream compared to the 757,767,737. It handles so well.if feels like flying a car with a big ass engine . Tooo bad I can only fly 757,767,737 boeing models.
@runway34r Typically this aircraft goes to Europe, but there were two other A330's moving around the airport that day so I can't be certain. Plus, I didn't see the tail number.
@ClementeProductions It is rather ironic to find that speed limit sign. There are service roads that are near my filming spot and the speed limit sign is for them.
@tunderhed Well, the camera is already plenty heavy. I just need to find a way to hold it steady for the long-zoom shots. A monopod is a likely solution.
@sseaheroo I recorded & exported this video in 1080, but when I uploaded it to YT there were very thin black bars around the entire video. So, I exported it again in 720p to temporally solve the problem. I know how to fix the 1080 problem for future videos though.
@asianwholikesplanes Yes, it has been snowing a bit. I think there is about a foot of snow up there now, but only 4 inches when I recorded these videos.
@Yannick19956 Thanks for watching. FSE Show Ep. #20 will likely be out in 10 days. This week is my last week of college final exams of the semester so I will have tons of time to work on the show after this week.
Did the Airbus planes join the Delta fleet through its merger with Northwest?
