I say it because my wife took martial art lessons and worked out, and one day she challenged me to a wrestling match. The battle went on for most of the afternoon and she totally worked me over. It was really hard in my case since for all our time together I was the strong one who made the decisions. And in this moment it all changed.what was worse was our child watched it.

@KoolAidMan417 I was paired up with a woman in Judo when I was 15..Our female Sensei had decided that the best trainings partner for an experienced female Judo player would be an unexperienced male teenager so we trained for 3-4 weeks she was around 23 years old, taller and heavier than me and she beat me mercilessly.

I am sure she would have avoided me two years later !

Also, men cant throw punches, use their wieght, or gouge out eyeballs when women know jujitsu. what you would really have is a very bloody, more than likely dead rape victim. I DARE to challenge men, they aren't scary or something...It's good to fight strong men, it helps you get better at BJJ. But I will agree with you, once guys hit 16, or or ones who mature sooner get that man muscle and strength then the teens age group gets a bit faulty. The weight may be the same or close, but the strength is far slanted to the men's advantage.

@reg12269 I agree with your concern. Nevertheless, if your fear should become reality in an athletic contest, the director should stop the bout and disqualify the boy. That would solve the problem. However, to not allow the girl to compete at this level would be a terrable injustice and a punishment that she doesn't deserve. When I was in high school, girls could only be cheerleaders. What a waste.

Children need to be under the control and authority of their parents so in the case of intergender athletisc, it's their call. In the case of a child, adult supervision is necessary. As regards adults, we are all responsible for our own well being and share that responsibility with nobody. Throughout history men and women have fought together against common enemies. Modesty was not an issue; only blood was the issue.

@reg12269 As to your first question; the war of Isrealy Independance in 1948 against overwhelming odds, women were in combat together with men and in seperate units. Additionally, when Naxi Germany invaded the Soviet Union, Women fought with the Red Army and in seperate units. Many of them were snipers and did good service killing many of their enemies. As for you; if you don't want your son or daughter to not compete against the opposite sex, stop them but let all others choose for themselves.

Yeah, a man doubles in strength from 16-20 years old (Avg)... When I turned 16 I went from 5'6" 125 to my current height of 6'0" & up to 170 pounds. I am 200 pounds right now. Testosterone kills us in the end though...That's one of the reasons why we don't live as long as women. Again, this is all going by the average.
