  • if i had that mp4 watch i would watch it in school

  • When i turn my mix max on, it says battery low. but then when i plug it into my computer to charge... it just stays at the "Starting Up" phase

  • Hello, 1st try the hidden reset button with a paper clip, Then another cable if that doesn't work Try another computer to make sure your USB drivers aren't corrupted, If it still doesn't work then maybe the firmware is corrupted, I'd search for a way to re flash the firmware, And very last open it up, I think it's glued so that's not easy & then disconnect the battery & reconnect it, Requires soldering & most likely will break the case.

  • u know the juice box could you make more videos on that.

  • Sorry, I swear sometimes youtube doesn't message me when I get comments, I could make another video but I don't have my camcorder right now, Not sure when I'll get it back but hopefully soon. Sorry for the late response.

  • how do you put videos on the mix max

  • There was instructions in a link in the info, But it appears disney/memorex website is not up. Might be out of business. You can try googling, I had a copy of the .pdf that shows you how but don't have access to it right now. You use "Windows Media Encoder" but you need specific settings for it to work. Try Googling "Disney Mix Max WME" or "Disney Mix Max Windows Media Encoder" Hope that helps.

  • haha, what's the video that the second watch is playing?

  • Diggnation, It's a podcast on Revision3 Google it :)

  • awsome watches where did you get them?

ohh and I have a juice box too.

  • The watches came from ebay, I use the little one with the square screen playing futurama while I'm jogging, Nothing like having 600 - 800 techno songs on your wrist !

Plus It gets about 8 hours of battery life & charges via USB.

Juicebox was $15 Toys R Us clearence, Tv Watch was from thinkgeek & Mix Max was also from ebay.

  • Catnip I have a file i downloaded that makes converting the videos for the mix max a hell of alot easier you just put the file in here

    first download windows media encoder

google for mixmax.wme download this file here C:\Program Files\Windows Media Components\Encoder\Templates

run WME and it should work if your putting an mpeg on your mixmax open it in movie maker save it as a WMV file then use WME to convert for mix max

  • Thanks!

    I'll give that a try

  • which ones your favorite

  • somethings wrong with my 1 can sum1 help i can only see my video half sided and it's blury but i can hear sound

  • Be sure when you convert it with the program you choose 128x128 for the square oled watches or 160x128 for the widescreen ones.

  • Please where can I download that MPTOOL software? I need it to upgrade firmware on my mp3 player Cube-1, but I don't have software CD anymore :( . I searched on Google, but without success. Can anyone help me?

  • Are you talking about the Mobiblu Cube Mp3 players? If so I'll zip up my install cd for my cube 1 & e-mail it to you, Send me a private message with your email address. It's only 4.27mb after ziping it. I wouldn't recommend the MPTOOL It's designed for flashing the watches.

  • 4.Oh! if you can, do you really think this one (search for this number on ebay: 110217097595) has a pixel resolution of 160 x 128? It does not seem widescreen to me.

5.Have you heard (or think) the 4gb versions may be hacked 2gb versions? (How could you tell?)

6.Does the one that transmit to radio have a fm radio tuner (recorder?) as well?

7.Are they really OLED? And does the battery last more on the oled (which has better quality?)Oh my, sorry for so many q. but I would really appreciate!

  • 4. That's considered the widescreen one as the square oled watches are 128x128 which makes video squashed looking or you have borders at the top & bottom with the square screen.

    5. I'm sure they are that way from the factory, Though I guess if someone wanted to they could open the watch & "piggyback" another flash chip on top of the existing one. Only way to tell is to open it up, Though either way I wouldn't worry. If it works it works.

  • 6. Yes it can tune in & record from it's fm tuner.

    7. Widescreen ones are TFT Lcd & square ones are oled. Battery life really comes down to keeping the settings set to not have the screen on for extended periods of time. The lcd ones leave the lcd screen on "you can see it in bright sunlight" even when the led backlight is off. As opposed to the oled which shuts off the whole screen. But the lcd widescreen has a little bit bigger battery so they seem about the same.

  • ! ! ! I am so glad I found you ! I am searching to buy one but I really don't know which to get! (ok, sorry for yelling...)

    1. Do you know if any of them can play MP4 (or any format) directly, or do you have to convert ALL video to .AMV (.MTV)?

    2. Do any of them have alarm, and/or the ability to set a "music alarm".

    3. Can you change the way the clock (time display) looks?(analog, digital, date, time only?)

  • 1. No, They all have the same proprietary video playback chip.

    2. No, Maybe can be hacked or software updated in the future.

    3. No, The clock on the square oled ones cycle colors automatically.

  • sweet dude..you got 3 mp4 watches???...i wanna buy one too...the first or the 3rd ...and i was wondering if the software that comes with it is compatible with vista...cos i hear it isnt...gracias...

  • Not really by choice but yea I got 3 lol, I was trying to find the best one I like the widescreen with built in speaker best, The others I'm gonna play around with, Maybe an animated loop for a pc badge or something. Not sure about vista, I haven't made the switch just yet.

  • haha..nice man a pc badge outta em...cool...so u dont know bout vista..thats ok man...thanx anyways...hmm...the one with the speaker is kinda appealing to me more now..its got a radio too right?..is a lil bulky though...

  • Yea a little bulky, But it does have a radio & the speaker is roughly comparable to a single psp speaker. It's lcd with led backlight so it has pretty good picture quality, I like it better then the oled, It seems sharper & has better color. hmmmm maybe put one on a hat lol still thinking, I like the loop video feature & could use external power.

  • thats pretty sweet man...i didnt really think about the picture quality difference between oled and lcd...and best o luck with ur radical new hat idea...that IS pretty cool man...lol:P

  • hey i have a question, i have the first watch shown (form left to right) and i dont know how to use the fm radio function, so i was wondering you knew, it would be really helpfull if you told me how to! :)

  • First it depends if you have the model with the fm radio, They make two versions of that watch, They look exactly the same but one has no fm tuner. On the package it should have a dot beside the feature if it has it. If it does then it should be in the main menu with videos photos music etc. If you have a radio in yours while in radio you can hold down the menu button for the radio settings to appear.

  • mine just says: "fm radio (optional)"

and there is no radio fon the main menu.

Well thats a shame, how could they even do that i mean both of them cost the same right and who made this watch anyway? there isn't even a website or a number to call for support, maybe chinese witches made this!!!

  • Lol "chinese witches" Could be lol. It's a mystery who makes them, Heres something funny, The factory ships them with burned cd with the software on it, I actually got one that someone burned the flash/programming software onto. Lets you hack menus & everything but very dangerous I bricked my watch & took 4 hours to get it working again! Anyways the software is made by Ali corp.

  • The flash/program utility is called "MPTOOL 1.10.27" & the start .exe for it is named Factory4.exe anyone want this software to play with I'll upload it to yousendit, But be warned it can kill your watch if you don't know/learn how to reprogram it.

  • I have a disney mixmax ..how do i upload a video on it? plz plz

  • Hey, I added a link in the video description to Disney's instructions, It's in .pdf format so you may need Adobe to view it.

  • i have that little tv wristwatch, but i like the mp4 watch(built in speakers). nice

  • i need stuff like this.

  • i got da first mp4 watch for christmas but when i instaled the software which came with the watch to convert a video it said you need a codec and the latest windows direct x. did this happen with u. if not which version of windows direct x do you have

  • Google & download "Direct x 9.0c redistributable" & "K-lite mega codec pack" Then try running the software after installing them & it should work great!

  • cheers m8 dats awsum

  • catnip20 where can i get that NHJ TV watch is there any retailers in the US that sell them

  • I'm not sure about any store front retailers, Target use to sell them awhile back, You can find many retailers online like amazon just search "nhj tv watch"

  • ill try amazon b/c coinstar has a thingh where you cash in change and it turns it into an amazon card

  • 00:42 you have futurama playing on your disney mix max how the heck did you make the video play i even tried WM encoder and did everything i was told and still no go

  • disney "dot" memorexelectronics "dot" com/downloads/DMP9050_WMV_encoding.pdf

I was pulling my hair out until I found that, You have to follow it exactly & It has worked everytime for me on any video, Just a note where it says to select "Windows Media Audio 9.1" If you don't have that option use "Windows Media Audio 9.2" It works fine. I really wish they would have made putting your own videos on it easy. Make sure to follow the steps exactly & it should work great!

  • i think thats what I tried, i dont have the paitence for that, your right they should have included software to encode the videos at the exact rate, like the software that comes with alot of those little mp4 players that makes those .AMV video files simalar to that software

  • where u get da watch

  • On Ebay, Just do a search for MP4 watch.

  • I was going through some stuff today & forgot that I had a Tiger Vugo when I made this video, So that should have been in here too I guess but it's not that small about the size of my psp. They can record & play but they are very low quality, I only paid $15 for two of them.

  • id get one of those to hack,15 bucks is a steal for one of thosemaybe i can hook it to my playstation and record myself playing games does it have an SD card slot b/c i have a reader in my pc

  • Yes, The Vugo has an SD slot. Currently it does not play mp3's per say, It converts songs to an awful sounding format"I mean really it sounds F-ing awful!", So not currently good for playing music.

  • i wouldnt use it for mp3s b/c i have the mix max which is great at playing mp3s and i have an ipod, when you record video to the vugo can you take the SD card out and put it in a card reader to get the videos u recorded off

  • You can copy them but they wont play on anything but a vugo, You can't even play them on a pc. Google "vugo video format" & read the Wikipedia article.
