The point is that the man is a liar. He is giving Transmissions that he is not authorized to, since he himself has not received Transmission. He also has no connection with any Zen lineage, another lie that he puts out. That matters and no, what he says is not the truth.

zenmonkgenryu - Adyashanti never claimed to be a traditional zen teacher. The Buddha didn't have a lineage, his realization was his authority. I have met numerous teachers with official dharma transmission who acted out all kinds of shadow stuff on their students, all the way to dubious sexual conduct. Being officially authorized is no guarantee for anything, it is a way to formalize something that can't be controlled by institutions and traditions.

I also don't understand why it matters, Adya is a spiritual teacher, although I am not 'egoless', I can tell the difference between who I am and my mind, and this guy makes alot of sense. @MLBinwa Thank you. I see it, too. I have been super negative most of my life particularly in regards to humans, but I see now that many humans are waking up and are willing to go within themselves. Even prisoners and hunters are now starting to listen. There is a huge motivation among those who see to bridge the deep abyss between the peace makers and the war makers. I am part of those who bridge whereever they have an opportunity. Art is a powerful means to speak to all persons.
