  • I had to look up more on this little treasure. John Carpenter is enough, but the keyboardist is Michael Myers (Nick Castle) and the other guy is the director of IT (Tommy Lee Wallace).

    *head explodes*

  • Worst score of Carpenter's?!? "The Great Arcade" alone is reason enough to argue against that. That score is awesome, but it's you're opinion though.

  • @infrafan It's not so much that I don't like the music, more that it's not as good as his scores for films like The Fog, Escape from New York and Assault on Precinct 13. Where would you place his Big Trouble in Littlee China score among his other work?

  • @GramGough I actually thought about that. BTiLC's score is such a rich accompaniment and so memorable and recognizable, while I have trouble remembering some of his others even though I remember the films. There's not a more instant connection. I haven't seen all his films, only a majority, but ones like Ghost of Mars that seem more latent in sections and overdone in others. BTiLC might not be his best, but certainly not his worst in my opinion, but I do respect yours.
