I would tend to disagree- Homeworld is already great as it is, and we already have a spacefaring MMO in EVE... regardless of peoples thoughts towards that game, I think it would be inappropriate to attempt a genre transplant for Homeworld.
Well, maybe if their approach on the making of hw mmo is different and come up with something original... why not. Homewolrd as it is has great lore, it's a wonderful universe, filled with dark and mystical stuff. And there can be so much more in that universe... It would beat EVE every single day. :)
In the end, I would be satisfied if we just get a single-player HW 3 :P
@YukonExpatriate I agree, trying to take the rts cash cow that put relic in the spotlight and attempting to make an mmo out of it in direct competition with eve online would piss off alot of prior fans. The skill required to play the game was in your seat madly tapping hotkeys clicking scrolling dragging etc etc there wouldnt be any way to transition the sheer thrill of the game into an mmo. I think it would just be a sellout of the license, an they better not consolize it just to make money...
God I loved this game, move the Homeworld one really, just because of the fast forward I think though, I got tired of waiting on harvesters all the time in number 1.
the most beautiful element in this game was its soundtrack...

I agree that it would beat EVE, but at the same time... do I want it to? Homeworld is something very, very special.
But on the last point, I couldn't agree more. : )

@Serdaroth ,
I think so too! ^^

@Serdaroth I would be happier with a single-player only. I don't have time for online games, and I like games that do have an end.

nice music :D

The music in cataclysm was much darker and creepy than the original Homeworld. But i guess the game was overall darker than Homeworld.
