  • nice to hear a different air to it. cathal pronounced caw-hull

  • @008devlin Thanks!

  • No song captures the Irish Soul than "The Foggy Dew". It marks the hour and the honor. Could we have waited longer? I doubt it. In our hearts and our prayers -- forever Ireland.

  • @ernstbecker1 Well said!

  • Great Version....... Im from Dublin and I think 2016 will be an amazing year of remembrance for everyone. CATHAL BRUGHA is pronounced CAW'HAL or some will say CAA'HAL and BRU-A hope this helps

  • Thanks Sonny! My Mom is no longer around to correct my Gaelic, rest her soul, so thanks for sitting in for her!;-]

  • Thanks for sharing this with us, beautiful version. I love irish music, I play irish music myself actually even though I have no relations to Ireland, and no one in my family did listen to irish music when I grew up :-P.

This movie motivates me to learn more about Irish music :-).

Cheers from Norway ;-) (sorry if my english is a little bad) hehe

  • If you like the music, you are Irish by default...thanks!

  • Nice job, I love this song. Even here in Ireland you never hear all the verses any more.

  • Thanks Ranzeth...U know it never occurred to me that verses had been omitted...my mother sang all of the verses and that's how I remember it.

  • What a great version. Kudos for including all verses, a rarity as has already been pointed out. Would love to here some more songs of Ireland that you learned growing up.

  • I am planning a few so, stay tuned and thanks! Too bad I don't have my Mom's accent.

  • Truly Great version Friend. I Love how you Sing Every verse...unusual to hear that With the Foggy Dew lol, But I always liked the Idea.Keep up the Good Work

  • Thanks Darren...for some reason i didn't think i did justice to this great tribute...thanks again!

  • Bravo! Cool new twist to it!

  • Thanks Aaron! i don't really do it justice but for my parents' memory and memory of those men. I did it as I remembered it and added my own style guitar licks. Really love the concertina...I always wanted one but my wife threatened to leave me if I got one so...that is that!;-)Oh you are subbed my friend!

  • Thank You! You do the song more justice then most on YouTube for mentioning the fallen Irish men!

  • It's far less than they deserve - I thank God I had a mother who kept my heritage in front of me!

  • Great job!!! Never heard this song but I'm a fan!
