The power of her interpretation, the BUILD, the confident yearning she emotes just steals my heart. To each his own, but Patti played it safe. To me, Ms. Dion found in Diane Warren's song a fossil that yearned for excavating. Ms. Labelle used shovels and pickaxes. Ms. Dion artfully fleshed out the bones of the songwriter's intentions.
