I'm Colombian and in the world cup classification he by far was the best defender in Colombia. Try to look for a game Brazil vs Colombia the last one played between this two. The game final score was 0-0 all because of Yepes, best match ever played by him. Hope he and Nesta will be the central defenders for Milan next season and that Thiago Silva goes to Real and with that money buy a left back o a really good striker!

@nicolascepeda92 Milan cant sell Thiago Silva he is the future, and Milan now i think is sorted on the center backs. milan need now LB or RB, a Winger, a Midfielder a striker if they can afford too. Milan need all this addition to compete next season.

Thiago silva and Nesta still are the best centre defneders in milan available, T silva is still better than yepes, he needs to stay, now yepes can switch with him so silva can rest. This space is to comment on what each one of us thinks, I say Yepes is a top notch defender who can be as good as Silva, he hasn't been playing in european football for more than ten years for nothing. Personally I think Silva should be sold because neither Huntelaar, Borriello Pippo or Pato worked for Milan last season. I preffer a striker like Luis Fabiano arriving rather than having Silva on the team, Milan has more than enough center backs "paisano".

They're betting on Thiago Silva to be the future of the AC Milan defensive line, Yepes instead is just a cheap substitute, even though I think he's a top player.

About Luis Fabiano, they're not going to sell a great young player to buy a middle age (for football) striker in a huge price, they do prefer to invest in youngsters or buy cheap mature players.

@nicolascepeda92 No, it's not embarrasing to be proud of him, I was excited when I knew about it... But it's quite risky to say he's gonna take the position of Nesta or Thiago... He was an EXCELENT player, he is a VERY GOOD player for his age right now, but our nationalism shouldn't blindfold us with the reality... They bring him to Milan to be a good substitute, as it was for Dario Simic, Khaka Kaladze (eternal substitutes). But I think that Yepes is way better than those two

@nicolascepeda92 yes Yepes is great, but not the best colombian defender. Because of his speed, agility and strenght, i consider the best was Iván Ramiro!, was the only guy able to stop ronaldo, and he consolidated in one of the best teams of the world. He rejected an offer from Real Madrid for going to Italy!, and also don't forget El patrón Bermudez and Andrés Escobar, they were great too.
