Ok. I later found it doesn't work unless I add a line from the microphone to line 2. Then it contaminates the feed to the speakers and I hear my own voice in my ears. Can anyone point out to an idiot what he did wrong here?

In the mean time I have *ahem* FOUR LINES and 5 instances of Audio Repeater running. So it works, but the delay is a tragic 2 seconds.

A better hookup. 1 cable and 1 audio repeater. Audio repeater wave in to microphone. Wave out to internal speaker/headphone. Skype connection speakers to line 1(virtual audio cable). Sam Broadcaster encoder source set on wave out mix. Use headphones, take calls, play music, DJ, Whatever. You want to close the microphone, just stop the audio repeater. (btw, you will hear your mic in the headphones)

No.. you cant hear yourself, you just have to switch the settings for the mic when yuo want them to hear you again :)

VAC is not necessary if you have Stereo Mix on your audio recording devices... you won't need repeaters either

On audio mixture pipeline air out, there is no line 1 to be set on output device. The option available are

Great video and setup, but you don't have to mess with audio mixer pipeline settings, just the voice fx config and it works just fine. I just figured i would pass that along.

Let's say you wish to host a show, but you're not going to be talking to anyone on Skype. Will this mess with the settings on SAM, so just yourself cannot speak without Skype open?

Just an update: I've now used this setup on several live streams, and it works great! My listeners tell me the sound is better than ever, and I finally got the skype integration I wanted.

I did not change the buffer settings.

Great tutorial! The best I've seen on this subject so far. It was easy to follow and set up myself. I've gotten around to a live test yet, but I do have one question.

I noticed that you have changed the "buffer settings" in voice FX configuration. Is that necessary or irrelevant to this setup?
