  • There is no such thing as good or bad, only thinking makes it so.

Words like good, evil, sin, are just nouns, a way of speaking and nothing more. There are no nouns in the physical world, and as seeing that which is in heaven is as it is on earth, then there are no nouns in the heaven either, no nouns in the spirit world.

  • Great video! Is there a part two to this?

  • anthroposophy is weak.

  • It is presented so monotonously. Leaves something to be desired... Animation and life. This is deadening! A little bit of an inhale of soul breathing, perhaps?

  • Rudolf Steiner's ideas and philosophy have planned a major part in shaping who I am as a human being.Anthroposophy has been such a force for good in my life, not through controlling me,or by becoming a set of beliefs and dictates by which I have to live, but by showing me how to live as a free person. Thanks for the video Matt.(weemarkey's partner)

  • they are a sect, a cult and are judgemental clique like any other .

  • @NativeSupport Excuse me, but in answer to your mailing on R.Steiner, I can say he was definitely NOT a Darwinist, and its members have views in complete opposition to Darwin. He was also not 'inspired' by Blavatsky, though he knew her briefly. He fell out with Blavatsky because she was Hindu-inpsired, and he wanted to put Christ at the centre of his teachings.

  • @NativeSupport

If you read and understood properly you would realise that what he said was that native americans souls where unable to incarnate in todays physical bodies for specific spiritual reasons. Nothing at all to do with racism. You twist his words. Also to say he was inspired by Darwin is absurd. Blavatsky might have said something of that nature i do not know, but maybe this is why Steiner distanced himself from her. The man was not a racist.

  • @NativeSupport

I dont know about Darwin or Blavatsky but Steiner was certainly not a racist. If you had read even a page of his works you would be unable to say such nonesense.

  • In modern society, Evil = Corporations.

  • Nice, thank you. You can hear another audio version and translation and interpretation at this web site: therki.org

  • Total bullshit: without a historical context: any one person's rationalization of what evil is: is like one insect trying to figure out what human civilization is after it splats against a car window: the insect has no idea of how the glass was manufactured and no conception of what it is used for or what power propelled this glass to kill it, or what the purpose of it was, and NO idea that the car window which killed it is only one tiny aspect of civilization which kills insects in many ways.

  • @davidevanstoledo Steiner was in all likelihood poisoned by Nazis in 1925 because his political vision was so opposite their own. Read a bit about the man before you defame him.

  • Comment removed

  • @0ThouArtThat0 This was written before the first world war: Nazis did not exist then. Get your anti-Nazi propaganda shit out of your mind: Everything evil is suddenly attributed to Nazis! Evil has existed for millions of years and the Nazi's were the least evil of all their creations.

  • @0ThouArtThat0

Same thing happened to Nietzsche....der...it's known as misinterpretation...and it's a big problem

  • @davidevanstoledo Do not let ignorance stand in your way of learning something before you spout utter nonsense. The hisorical record of Steiner's life refutes every bit of b.s. you spouted here.

  • @davidevanstoledo fuck of scum, go and hang urself

  • @jessuatwork To end his life would not put a veil over his ignorance. Teach him to see the truth and perhaps he will teach others.

  • @jessuatwork come hang me yourself, you illiterate racist bastard.

  • @NativeSupport

    I don't know those writings.

Where can I read more on the topic?

My main point was the Waldorf Schools have been hijacked by baby boomer, rainbow coalition people,

This is not what he intended

  • Steiner was interesting and had good intentions.

It is too bad Waldorf schools have been bastardized by baby boomers, multi culturalists, PC horseshit

Steiner would be rolling in his grave if he could see what those parasites have done to his name

  • Thanks Man

  • Es lebe der Rudolf Steiner!

This piece really does justice, can listen to it again and again.

    Danke.

  • Problem i see with 'evil' is the tendency to 'fuck with others' chi' lol so to speak. This type of reasoning is where ritualistic sacrifice and blood letting etc come from. If we want to create evil within to grow ourselves, then the evil, i think needs to be directed at ourselves. I mean, those extremes i mentioned are obviously not very common or spoken of, but it happens, and it creates a very negative 'karma' in the individual, something you may not recover from for the rest of your life.

  • After listening to this two times from start to finish I would have to say that as much as I love Steiner, Plotinus, Jacob Boeme, etc., none of them had ever lived in an age like the one we do today. Much of our depraved, materialistic society has lost it's moral compass. There are still a lot of good people out there for sure, and many more who are waking up morally and spiritually but there are also a lot of people who are just soulless in my opinion, who just don't care.

  • Steiner was amazingly brilliant, well read, and was apparently a highly trained Christian mystic. I'm hardly an adherent to anthroposophy but from all that I've gathered thus far I'd have to say that I love the ideas behind the movement and I feel like there's much that we could learn from it. Thanks.

  • I wonder... is it plausible that some ideas are just impossible to read out loud? Others are? Is that a qualitative difference? Just thinking what a loon I'd sound reading Hegel to someone.

    lol

  • Thank you for your reading. Excellent to hear Anthroposophy read so smoothly and clearly as you do on you tuble. Could have been a little louder but no real problem. Curious to read some of the comments. I have been studying R.S. for many years and I never stop being facinated by his ideas. Looking forward to hearing some of your other videos. Thanks again.

  • Evil is not riddling it is but god's multiple qualities trying to understand how the fractal constituents in the a divine being is not based on the complex of logic. Evil or what the tongue thinks it is not a hindrance it is but a physical stimulation the lost of source. Love is not an emotion it is a state of being of worship of wisdom. How does one get rid of evil one does not conceptualize thought patterns regulaing what is poision or what is good. The chaotic order is an evolving frequency.

  • splendid content, yet whatever works for one is probably to be one's way.

@BabybooR33:(opinion) ignorance is rather affirmiting control, whilst strength & "good" would be having sight on obstacles.

  • If Steiner was an odd cultist like Jim Jones. He gives me the creeps.

  • @RayL1983 No he's a clearvoint (however you spell it) and he just tells people how to be free and what's after death, the universe....etc. He's kind of against all religions but if you believe in god or whatever, you don't have to believe in Steiner.

I suggest you read some of his books, and oh I know, it's really weird to see a teen scene girl on this side of youtube =P

  • I'm very happy to know Stainer, but in our days is really hard to find a place to really work with anthroposophy, im very disapointe with some of the places i've working in.

    Anyway thank's

  • @Brafmah where are you from ?

  • @Stuchuales I'm from Brazil, i'm back home after over 6 years abroad working in a Steiner Community.

  • Thanks!!

  • Like woe! Very interesting and probably in some ways an important post. What I found interesting is something ive experienced allot lately worldwide in photography and in landscape and architecture or construction, which is the many faces of evil inset to the trees waters, walls, and earh surrounding us. I dont believe it used to be like this its also seen increasingly in clouds. Its an end of the age thing which affects all realms and dimensions of the living souls. Very Kool For ALL BEINGS.

  • I was struggling to hear what you were reading?

  • @yowza69 Me too.

  • Thank you 0ThouArtThat0. Tatt Vam Asi :)

  • not loud enough

  • Jusinlee. You seem to have missed the point of eating of the tree of life. This broke the connection of God's harmonious relationship with man. Now man's knowledge led to competition, ego, "winning", etc. OF COURSE God didn't want man to have this harmful "knowledge" that leads to death. Tree of life was about harmony, not ego.God was a wise father. He knew better, but gave us free will to be as stupid or wise as we want to be. God is a gentleman.

  • Good to hear you read this there young man as I read him a long time ago and still come back to him now and then. Watch out for Boehme it is German and you pronunciation is not correct but that is ok you can take some German and clear that up and learn to read Steiner his own language.

  • When you are dealing with the stars, what does evil even mean? I'm generalizing, but primitive minds must only contain evil as a reality, such as Christians. Not saying that Christian theosophy is a wrong one, but the way in which "Evil" is believed. The bible says there were 2 trees, the Tree of Life, and the Tree of Knowledge. Eve supposedly partook of the fruit of the tree of knowledge, from the "temptings" of Satan. The fruit is intelligence! YHVH did not want his new creations to have this!

  • Great.

    Thank you.

  • damm Good Job !!!

  • Thank you very much Matt. It is an entirely different experience to hear his lectures read by another than to read them oneself. I really enjoyed this fresh delivery.

  • @Olipse i could not have said it any differently.

  • what's the name of the song you used?you should use it more often;it induces a meditation like state and makes it easier to focus

  • Are some of those photos yours, Matt? seems so

  • yeah, all of em : ) they are either from Washington state or off the coast of Colombia.

  • @0ThouArtThat0

You mean British Columbia, Canada (not Colombia, South America.) ---Sincerely Love your stuff, O Sincere Matthew :)

  • Thank you so much!! I went to Waldorf (the school founded by Steiner) from kindergarten to grade nine.

  • Really? How'd you like it? One of my professors (Robert McDermott, author of "The Essential Steiner") turned me onto his work about a year ago. He's definitely shifted my perspective on a number of things.

  • It was amazing, everything related to art in some way. We were told stories and asked to draw a series of pictures about them, stuff like that. My kids are going there.

  • (future kids)

  • Nice, I am considering going to the Waldorf training program here in San Fran. It is sort of my backup plan if I can't teach at the university level. Maybe I'll teach your (future) kids!

  • Lol, that would be sweet. The material would be really fun to teach too. It's very philosophical/artistic/spiritual, so it would be right up your alley.

  • Let me be a voice speaking out for the plan, you call backup.

We don't let us keep back through dogma in teaching anything that is to be taught.

However the shift to yellow university education has only partly been taken and this could be crucial here.

Waldorf is more separated and isolated, remember Esalan.

More important influence you have when having Habermasian spare time and adolescents teacher's are more remembarable for most.

  • Great to hear this. Steiner's is one sharp mind. The evil as a "natural method" view resonates with Aurobindo. I'm wondering if this has shaped your personal views on Evil. Thanks Matt.

  • Also this bit from Jacob Boehme seems to resonate:

"When thou art gone forth wholly from the creature [human], and art become nothing to all that is nature and creature, then thou art in that eternal one, which is God himself, and then thou shalt perceive and feel the highest virtue of love." More on Jacob's wikipedia page.

  • excelent reading matt, very interesting and thought provoking. I feel as if it cast light on my long standing direct perception of these forces throughout my life.

  • There's no evil? Yeah right. Put the crack down (it's evil).

  • good video, but I dont believe in evil. evil is relative, and the result of the conditioning of a society.

  • Matt, thanks for taking the time to read this, it really helped expand what I've been thinking a lot about lately! :D

  • Glad I could be of service!

  • truly solid

  • Thanks for posting this. For a different perspective on Steiner you may want to pick up The Spear of Destiny by Ravencroft.

  • Great Matt, thanks!

  • ignorance is the root to all evil . . .

  • I liked the flawed voiceover in the first attempt. It made it sound evil. I thought 0Thou0 meant to do that. It was kinda evil... but I got most of it.

  • @BabybooR33

    pretty much
