Not to me. I mean: he only did 1 good role. THat doesnt make him a good actor. Could be a lucky shot. He nailed the character of Joker perfectly, but what would he have done playing a completely other role? Cant be Joker forever...

For comparison: Harrison Ford is a good actor: cause he did so many good roles over decades.

Course they can revive him. Leadger is dead. Joker is not. Picture a lot of crimes being done as if Joker is involved. Joker escaped it s like he is back (phonecalls with Jokers voice, filming Joker on his back etc, but you never see Joker in the face). Later there appears to be a copyCAT (enter Catwoman) who imitates Joker. She has killed Joker.

So you never see Joker for real and he has gotten a clean exit as a character. A revenge story could be included. (What if Harley Quinn shows up and wants revenge on both Catwoman and Batman?
