He is rock star, and there is strength in his numbers!!!!! Young people love him ♥ It's their futures at stake!!!! Ron Paul brings Democrats, Independents, Libertarians to the Republican party!!! He has had the same message for over 30 years- no flip-flopping here!
@moviedude22 yes, this would create competition, if a school is not getting paid by the goverment to teach students then they have to do thier best to offer incentives for students to spend their hard earned money at their college, the 2 main incentives being a lower price and higher quality, if they don't offer these incentives they go out of business because they wont be able to compete with other schools.
@Billkiernan dude - the fed is what causes inflation. Not only would getting rid of the fed eliminate inflation, but also the national debt - why? Because it's all a fraudulent loan, and firing the fed would cause all obligations to drop. Answer this - who is loaning us money now? Where is it coming from? A: thin air.
how the FUCK is this a "brilliant" answer? "i don't know, tough shit, they'll have to find a way to pay for it." and he's going to magically stop inflation as president? looks like Obama isn't the only salesman for false hopes whose bullshit people swallow into hook, line, and sinker.
@BillKiernan We can stop inflation if we END THE FED so we can stop printing money out of thin air, and use a sound currency like using the gold standard. The Federal Reserve came into the US in 1913. Something worth a dollar back in those days would cost about $25 dollar today. Ron Paul is proposing to let the banks provide student loans so they can have competitive interest rates.
@BillKiernan Please watch "What is Constitutional Money?" with Edwin Vieira -- Ron Paul Money Lecture Series, Pt 2/3 The Federal Reserve is a problem, but as Paul has said we cannot abolish overnight. What Paul is in favor of is legislation that allows for competing currencies against the Federal Reserve Note. Virginia is actually considering this now. Vieira discusses that in this video. @kching Sweden, Denmark, and Norway are not spending their grandchildren's wealth on ficticious wars like the USA is going. What if all that war money was being spent in America? What do you think our economy would look like with an infusion of $4 Trillion Dollars Anually? What if the government had given all that bailout money to families, instead of banks?
@kching Those countries are extremely small, population-wise, compared to America and are far less culturally diverse, for one thing. This allows socialist programs to function better. That doesn't mean that those even have a demand for less taxes or more market freedom... they clearly enjoy government controlling their lives and destinies. Those economies are, in no way, as productive or as wealthy as ours either.... not even close. Apples and oranges.
@MrAmerica406 How can you disagree with facts? When you pump money into something, using a monopoly loan agency, there is no incentive for a business or school to be price competitive. They can jack up prices ad infinitum and that agency continues to lend w/o questioning the prices. It's like if we had "grocery loans" for which you just fill your cart with whatever you want and the government fits the bill. Stores could charge $50 for a block of cheese but the government will pay it anyway.
@MrAmerica406 you shouldn't. Look at cell phones. Do you really think that we'd have jumped ahead as far as we have in cell phones if the government was involved in that market? We'd probably still be lugging around an army phone with a black and green screen. Just like he said, when theres a market there is competition, cost goes down, quality goes up. When I collect my bids for contractors the same rule applies.

Simple answer...college should be 10 times cheaper than what it is...and Ron Paul would make sure that would be the case.
