  • A sine wave voltage wave form is displayed, with the X axis represents time and Y axis the amplitude. An amplifier just amplifies the signal amplitude ( y axis) only. In one figure ( second slide), It is displayed that the output wave as a magnified sine wave. ( I mean that the time and voltage is expanded). A student may assume that the out put of an amplifier will not only increase the amplitude, but also changes the frequency of the signal.
