it seems like orlesians = french. antivans = italians or spanish. fereldeners = british and the dwarves = american. in DA2. the elves = irish..

in DOA the elves sound canadian.. haha.. i'm not sure..

@1in1universe we don't have "weird French" we speak the way people from France spoke in the 16th century. If you can't open your ears to your past I don't see why it has to become Canada's problem. I still dislike all France dubs btw... I do love French movies to death I just don't like France (or anyone) dubbing original content.

Good god I friggin hate french dubs of any kind.... I speak French, it's my mother tongue, but I just can't stand the fact that they ALWAYS take away all the depth and character of any dub voice they ever EVER make. I hate french dubs with a passion, sorry. Better get subs and keep the original voices if you can't be bothered to learn English to play your games. Ugh.

@baerabas well, for once the French dubbing wasn't so bad, but I was disappointed they didn't use any accent. Zevran no longer have an accent and LEliana speaks normally.

English is better. It sounds more distinct. But maybe I am just unable to pick up on the subtleties of her accent in French since I don't speak the language.

@jtterror94 There called the Chasind Robes you find theme after completing the Sings of the Chasind quest in the Kokari Wilds. There really only good as a robe option for a starting mage. I actually wore them for a while.

Siempre pasa igual, son capaces de doblarlo al Francés, Alemán Italiano etc. pero no al Español, es verdad que con el doblaje se pierde la esencia, pero no me parece lógico que hagan estas excepciones teniendo en cuenta la cantidad de gente que habla este idioma.

Oulà, pas d'accord. Le ton Français-Anglais est complétement différent, c'est pas comparable a mon sens (comme les voix Japonais avec les mangas etc... c'est autre chose)

Naa, the English voice definitely sounds more soft and, sweet I think. The French voice sounds more serious. I think both of them fits her pretty good though!

@ Serwimo Considering that the game was made by a Canadian video game company, it only makes sense that the game gets to be voiced by both english and french voice actors; both are the official language of Canada. (Correct me if I'm wrong though, but that's what a Canadian I knew told me once.)

@ditawakeman Both English and French are official languages, but good luck finding someone who speaks French on a regular basis outside the province of Quebec. I think both voice actresses did a fairly good job honestly. The French version seems to say place names with a horrifying non-french accent but whatever.
