In all this game, the devil is losing and at the end will be accused of everything because GOD don’t want any rivals. Conclusion: live at the full in the freedom of GOD (praying in a right form, following the INSTRUCTIONS in the Bible - keeping the 10 commandments - including keeping the Saturday as the 7th day etc.) instead of in the incapacity and limited power of devil because he is just a temporary puppet. Jesus Christ is our savior and our hope!
@Magda15Star One major aspect of Rwandan genocide that seems to get passed by, is that people who were killed were most educated, healthier middle class beautiful. It's not just number:1,000,000.00 it's more than that, they were doctors, engeneers and more..............then got killed by un-educated, poor , ungly, hopeless........
Please. I need a film about "Rwanda 1994" about a play performed by a dutch theatre company in many countries... in this film, the company is performing in Rwanda... really moving. I need that doc. Thanks
Good day to all of my fellow Christians, firstly my apology for being out of topic. I came here to remind you people that the judgment day has been starting already. I urge you my fellow Christians to depart from all form of unchristian conduct lest you be found not worthy to inter the kingdom of God in the Day of Execution. Please do not misinterpret my activity as spam; I did not do it for that purpose.
Nice production. Joyce Meyer Ministries went to Rwanda recently, having a 100 day of hope project there, bringing the Gospel to those hurting people both tutsis and hutus. They were blessed.
Thank you. For refusing to allow this horror to be swept under the rug. And for doing so with the grace and eloquence it deserves. We do not need to see the bodies flowing along the river, only the images of pain, suffering, and aching for justice and peace. 1000 thanks. Sincerely, The World
People seem to forget that the genocide were a war for local control between the USA and France. But only Rwandan peolpe died. Same story in Angola 4 many years between the USA and the Comunist, same in colombia, same in mozambique, same in darfur, same in RD Congo etc...
Why they only show us one side of the killings? Always hutus killing Tustsis, they never show us what was happening in the rebels side, or what is happening now in Rwanda. This is like saying that Hitler was the Devil and Stalline was an Angel wich I don't think is fair. I believe Both men were evil, Hitler killed 6 million, while Stalline killed 20 million. But Stalline won the war, so he is like a hero and history only talks about Hitler. The same uncomplete history is being made in Rwanda.
You're absolutely right 1Individeo. This document should show the two sides of the killings. I apologize to you, Hutus have suffered too from years and years of injustice in Rwanda.
Actually I really don't know what I really am. Both my grand fathers were hutus while both my grand mothers were tutsis. So I guess I am Hutsi or Tutu...
@1individeo .You probably show us if you have anything showing the other side.Which iam sure you dont have. There were plans, documented ,newspapers wrote ,radios insighted the killings all in control of the Hutus. So where do you come from saying that the Tusti killed the Hutus? The rebel side was stopping the Hutus from killing innocent civillians-and God so the Hutus who died were either killied while being stopped from killing or were caught in the war just like it would happen in any war.
we just studied this in Citizenship. It upset pretty much the whole class. I can't understand how people can sit back and watch others massacred. It's horrible.
Much of the Media makes things alot less extreme if anyone can come up with a list it would be endless. I know about the habitat for homes who are trying to build a life for them, Even a little counts, God Bless you all for caring but lets stop wasting time and lend a hand to the many people all over the world who are suffering. I know I was unaware of many world issues until I had Youtube. I know of many people where I live that starve, I have started there.
I love how u sit back & say, "This is so terrible!" & then u go right back to living your perfect little lives. That is exactly why this lasted so long. Whos going to stop & DO sumthing?! I am, I can tell u that much & 2 the person that said that we should be thankful its not us, WTF? Ya. Its not us. That doesnt mean it couldnt happen to us & it doesnt mean that we shouldnt care about the rest of the world. DO sumthing! Quit sitting around & make a difference. Otherwise, ur no good to humanity.
thankful its not us how pathetic are you ! thats the reason N O O N E wanted to help Rwanda because it wasnt us there is no resource there because we had nothing to go save in rwanda i hope god comes and cleanese this earth of everyone and start a new because noone dserves to live
Im not sure you could call a bunch of pictures interspersed with the occasional piece of information a documentary . And whats with the music? Its hardly fitting.
What happened during those hard times were horrible and i can't believe it actually happened. None of those people deserve to be put through that kind of hell ever. They suffered and were in pain every last minute of their lives. Its wrong and it shouldn't have happened. But even though it shouldn't have happened it was not the soldiers fault they had to fallow orders and that was to be peace keepers.
yeah, belgium sent forces while panzee ass bill clinton sat on his ass in his desk and was too afriad to send in troops, and ofcourse the rest of the UN didnt do anything either Clinton was a panzee in Somalia, too, o my god, we lost 19 troops, we have to get our troops out of there immediately. little pussy ass bitch clinton
Meme 11 ans apres... on peut encoww voir la souffrance des perte detre cher au rwanda.... c'est vraiment triste! C'est tellement étonnant.. qu'un si beau pays cache tant de souffrance!!!!
Why? How can this happen? When humanity learns, evil is ever present & looking for opportunities to damage kind souls. Where are our Heros?? What is the UN doing? Are they accountable? God help us if, in this world of instant communications & instant news feed, this can happen. Be ever
vigilant, scream loud as your voice can carry.Stop this inhumanity by soulless humans.. Offer a solution, please step up. Get RID of these leaders who cannot lead & will not raise issues of pro humanity.

territory war between France and US, where in the hell did you get that from? not to mention it was belgium who had occupied Rwanda before this, France was just supllying weapons to the Rwandan military which then supported the Inteerhamwe hutu militia even though it was supposed to protect the people, and so the Tutsi rebels, Rwandan Patriotic Front, had to fight for themselves while there fellow tutsi people are getting slaughtered
1individeo, US didnt want Rwanda, not even close, infact Clinton didnt even care about Rwanda at all, which is why he didnt do anything, and if he wanted the tutsis to win, you would think he would send troops to stop the hutus from killing all the tutsis
lol yeah shes not into the politics over there. But she describes the place with lots of beautiful words and tells me not to listen to the tv and stuff, because they paint a ugly picture of Rwanda. Man i want to visit the place =]
Belgium could have earned the sympathy and understanding of the entire world if they would have sent more troops and stopped the genocide before it started.
A Very moving song that sums up the plight of over 750,000 defenceless souls who were slaughtered in less than 100 days in 1994.If there is a god, "where were you when you were most needed"...Shame on the U.N,...You have blood on your hands. R.I.P Rwanda's victims, You will not be forgotten.
thats an outrageous and innacurate rant..romeo dallaire tried many times to take the militia to task for its crimes but was prevented from doing so by the UN diplomats in new york . He was poorly equipped and poorly led..placed in an impossible situation by faceless politicians
I just watched the film 'Shooting Dogs' the other night with my girlfriend and was very touched by it. It has ignited an interest in Rwanda for me, I hope to travel there one day. Being African myself I am all to aware of the way of life here something which most westerners just don't get! Beautiful artwork and very good choice of song!
nice video fabiouluss ..rwanda is the great shame of the western powers..but looking at darfour it appears they havent learned their lesson and probably never will
You are right. It's not France that shares responsability in the Rwandese killings of 1994. Responsability is in New York and remote control of the crime is in Washington, as a phase of world's control. Agaculama.
@agaculama: u don't have the right to judge this work...this is a try to forget the pain.If fabiouluss just can forget what happened in the way he/she did with that video ket him/her. leave him/her alone. I made a school work about Rwanda, its a movie about 20 minutes...I did a interview with a man from rwanda..he was gorgeous... it's so heart tearin' what happened and we shouldn't argue about that!
7/ There are more Hutu and Bantu victims in the so-called "Tutsi genocide". The so called "judeo-Tutsi" actually state that they are one of the lost tribes of Israël and even visit the Yad Vachem jewish memorial in Jerusalem on the same manner as french jews recently visited the rwandese memorials. Let's pray for these 6 millions human beings who will never have protection on this earth and who wait a reign of justice.
This video is a tribute to the victims of the genocide (the victims!!). I came up with this idea because my best friends are Rwandans, yet they're not Tutsis but what happened what a manipulation by Tutsis authorities and other countries (not the population) to get access to some of the natural resources that are found in the Congo
But this short video was meant to remind us that people died! Now my people (my own people) are dying in the Congo as a result of this war why would I make a Hollywood-like video when my own brothers and sisters are dying? Are you a victim of the genocide? Have you lost relatives in the Congo of Rwanda? If you have I'm really sorry because it is painful
but if you have not, please don't come here and judge me. This is my heart, sympathy, and respect for those who died and are still dying. This is my way of showing them that I know and I care. And no I didn't draw the visage of an arrested milicia men in eastern Congo that has been arrested by pro-Kabila brigads I wouldn't be stupid enough to do that, I'm not trying to manipulate people. Thanks for your comments.
"fabiouluss" My critics were directed against a film on Utube that spoke about Romeo Dallaire as a saviour of Rwanda, a publicity video for the Canadian Liberal Party. My critics were not directed against Your video with animated black and white cartoons. So, I apology for what happened. Unfortunately, I do't find anymore the shamefull video at the glory of one of the most dangerous persons in the history of Canada, I guess former general Romeo Dallaire. Sincerely Yours. Agaculama.
Hello Fabiouluss, my comments went over the film that you can find on the Utube website via /watch?v=HBm4bLBuIrg. I have no special problem with your artistic production! You will find the big Canadian lier I criticize! Some reactions of bloggers were sociologically interesting! Good luck. Agaculama.
Are you Hutu sir? Or just an Interhamwe sympathiser. I think with things like Rwanda we should not point blame on anyone. It is no ones fault. Not Dallaire, not President Clinton or anyone's. It is simply the failure of humanity and the failure of humans to respond. The fact is that there was no justice in Rwanda and let us hope it never happens again.
Hello Nomorewarnomore! I'm not a Hutu, a Interahamwe sympathizer, a WASP. I'm only a former war surgeon that observed the numerous lyers who destroyed the Rwandese nation. Of course Hutu extremists killed both Hutus, Hutsi or Tutsi, and Tutsi extremists killed both Tutsi, Bagogwe and Hutu. Both camps have blood on the hands. My work in 1994 was to operate around 1000 casualties in Kigali, the majority of which were Hutu! Faithfully Yours. Agaculama.
6/ I'm waiting on this day for the memory of 6 millions Rwandese and Congolese citizens who have been killed or died without eating or being treated because of the wars that started on October the 1st, 1990. These wars and killings were provoked by the Tutsi extremists under the order of Paul Kagame, who's working as a puppet of the US strategy in Central Africa.
5/ This video is really a shame. Romeo Dallaire needs to be put on trial for his active role in the promotion of RPF/FPR rebels, and for his passive role in the protection of the victims of the killings. There would be a good place for him and for his boss Koffi Annan, for a serious trial in the TPIR of Arusha.
4/ He has no politeness, no proudness, no essential moral value: in 1994, he was just a mercenary without love and compassion for the poor Rwandese people that needed protection of the international community. Dallaire had a great hate against France, serving the interests of Washington with the camouflage of a French-speaking soldier. Just a pawn on the great game!
3/ Dallaire is a puppet military and would be better used as a French-Cancan dancer than as a UN military adviser. He's a shame for the Canadian army, a shame for the world peace, just a shame. Now, he speaks about "battle stress" when he don't want to answer to a question asking for his own responsability in the killings of 1994. Even as a Liberal Party member in the Canadian Senate, Dallaire refuses to answer to questions sended by mail.
2/ Dallaire was the highest graded officer of the MINUAR/UNAMIR UN intervention DPKO troops in Rwanda. He didn't counteract the delivery of arms to the FPR/RPF troops of his friend Paul Kagame. He was présent in the Rwandese Military Academy "Camp Kigali" barracks when at least 2 of the 10 abducted Belgian paratroopers were already killed, according to his own written testimony in his shameful book. He did absolutely nothing in order to save the victims of the killings.
1/ As a former warsurgeon (1994) and humanitary surgeon (1995-1996)in Rwanda, I answer to this Hollywood-like video. This propaganda video is really a shame, made with constructed images that sometimes have nothing to do with the killings of Rwanda: like the visage of an arrested milicia men in eastern Congo that has been arrested by pro-Kabila brigade! General Major Romeo Dallaire is one of the highest criminals in the history of Rwanda. Read further.
dud this is sum pretty sad shit. but this is still going on in rwanda. im taking holocaust and this is just like what happened then and were allowing it to happen again. when will we learn from past mistakes. we shouldnt turn our backs on them they are human beings just like us and deserve to live as much as u and me
To all cocky asswipes: Sending in troops is not a solution. But it was the US, Clinton's administration, that stopped the UN from blocking the massacre and withdrew most of the UN troops.
The Belgian UN Commander himself accused the UN politicians of cover-up at the time.
As for Saddam, do not forget that he also was Bush-senior's pawn and funded by that administration to eliminate the Iranian fundamintalists.
Hello Summoner Cockyasswipe. The Tutsi rebels (RPF/FPR) went to New York mid april 1994. They said they would kill foreign soldiers in Rwanda if they didn't go back to their countries. There was "no Tutsi to save, anymore", they said. Clinton administration was pro-Tutsi and gave the order to flew to the MINUAR/UNAMIR troops. There were more than 3000 fresh occidental paratroopers on 14th-04-1994. Nobody stopped the killings, waiting the New World Orders???
You sound like you beleive what you say! Great! For a surgeon you are quite the illiterate type. No syntax nor spelling for what matters. And while you are obviously pro-Hutu you don't want to admit it. I am pro-life, something a surgeon who lived amidst all these and is disgusted with the politics that created the whole mess should be, too.
Also, Clinton DECLARED that there would be no interferene whatsoever, in countries thet were of no political value to the US. He did so, some six months after he was informed about the Rwanda civil war.
Also, all the administration's spokesmen were instructed, for what words NOT to use when refering to Rwandan civil war. Words like "massacre", "ethnic cleansing" etc.
What you say about the New York meeting between Clinton and Tutsi representatives is not true and can only be confirmed by a propaganda newsreel that circulated later, in the mid 1995 to cover up Clinton's ill-will to help a country that had no oil to exploit.
By the time millitary forces arrived, nearly 3 million people had died and the cleansing had cooled down.
Stop watching American millitary B movies. And stop delluding yourself that 3000 paratroopers could ever possibly stop the blood-bred millions of Hutu and Tutsi. Can you say "Black Hawk Down"?
Since you were there, what was the weapon of choice for the population?
Sir, I'm sorry to observe that You are the king of the illiterates. I observe that You absolutely know nothing about the 1994 Rwanda Files. What I wrote can be verified by honnest researchers. If You are pro-life, I'm also pro-life. I'm an experienced war surgeon in the Central African Great Lakes Region. So if You went once there, I think, You was asleep! Bye.
You have got to be one of the biggest bastards I have ever encountered. I'm from Burundi(right next 2 Rwanda), and I'm Tutsi. Most of my family died before(Burundian Civil War) and during the Rwandan Genocide. I KNOW THE FACTS! This video does not contain a single lie. Your bullshit blabber on the other hand has got to be the most ignorant crap I have come across in a long time!
Complement, mister Professor. In april 1994, RPF Europe representative Bihozagara (veterinian from Bujumbura) went to NY and said "il n'y a plus personne à sauver", "le génocide est consommé", "si les armées étrangères ne partent pas, nous nous battrons contre elles". History is history, kid. We don't need propaganda but truth, UKULI! Agaculama
This comment was addressed to agaculama btw. I don't intend to offend anybody else, just had to say something, as such ignorance and denial enfuriates me!!!
I appreciate Your politeless politeness, Mister "ONLY IMMORAL". You only know your facts. For what concerns your diagnosis of "biggest bastard", look yourself your bastardized face in the mirror of the Great Lakes! No dialogue with a "Havila" Tutsi extremist like You. Agaculama.
I just wanted to also mention that there are actually 3 ethnic groups in Rwanda. The Twa make up a very small minority, accounting for ~1% of the population.
There are indeed 3 ethnic groups in Rwanda but since it was the Hutus trying to kill theTutsis we thought we'd first focus on those twos. But you absolutely right I should have mentionned that. Thanks!!
The twisted irony of all of this is, had the US decided to do something, and sent troops, then the rest of the world would have criticized us for trying to police the world or of being aggressors. Americans surely would have died, however one has to wonder, how many less than 800,000 men women and children would have died if we HAD done something. It's a question that will haunt our generation for decades to come. Keep your eyes on Darfur. History has a way of repeating itself.
actually what about the congo civl war which I think includes the rwanda issues(i forget, just rememebr broad number- nearly 4 million dead). It was the most deadly since the post wwII. But then again these events of of wars and great loss of life is quite common sadly.
this is really something, makes me fucking sick what went on over there, it was Romeo Dallaires book 'Shake Hands With The Devil' that really introduced me to the horrors of teh genocide and how fucked up the UN is! anyway great work...
The UN is not messed up really. It is difficult for so many countries with different interests to agree upon something. It is not in every country's interest to get involve in foreign land politically or finacially where wars and extreme loss of life occurs.
It's Stanislava again. Actually with your permission I could show the video in church for fundraising for Rwanda orhans and praying for Rwanda?it would be great really. Thanks for caring,s.
Thanks for the advice. Yeah it was kind of hard including the sources of figures because none of them really exist. They're sort of like a mix of many different faces that I found.
I collected a bunch of pictures ( mostly photos of victims) and blend them together. These faces don't really exist, well they do but I changed their features... so one figure is a mix of different faces.
Europeans caused all this killings and slaughter and at the end of the day they come and grief with their victims. Your crimes against humanity is universal. You people have caused misery everywhere you go. One day you will pay!
great work, and the world looking the other way... the difference with iraq is basically that Iraq is full of petrol and Rwanda is full of people (petrol is much more important than children
I cannot believe we are sitting here and we are just anything. You know, I am not here to propogate myself, but I am feel like I am an alturistic island in this ocean of materialism.
I live in a very affluent town, yes, but I go out of my way, out of my, for all this human rights work.
I feel like everyone is stuck in what I call "the golden cages of their narrow minds" why us human
Its not AMERICA'S fault ok,,i aint AMERICAN..there is NOONE to blame for this,,the only people to blame are the people who were involved itself..NOT the Americans..the WHOLE U.N
bullshit that americans are fault either way, it just d. The USA and other countries should have done something in Rwanda, so yes it was a mistake to let the genocide happen, and in other cases I suppose they shouldn't get involved. It shouldn't be based on whether you fucked up the last time, it should be what's the good thing to do with each oppotunity. Pretty plain and simple.
After the holocaust the UN made passed a law called Never Again. It's purpose was that if a genocide was about to happen, it became the responsibility of the international community (UN) to step in to stop. Genocide is not war it is the intent to exterminate completely a race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or community. The genocide is the fault of Rwandans, but it is UN law to step in to make sure no community is exterminated.
You know what's really funny. When America gets involved, America is at fault. When America doesn't get involved, America is at fault. Is America the only nation in the world? Africans condemn America almost nonstop. Where were the Africans?
You shouldnt throw around the generalization of "Africans" around too much, you might just come off ignorant. It was not specifically Americas fault, it was the International communities. The thing is, in cases like these, it is expected that the richest countries should act first rather than force already indebted countries fall further into the hole.
what you spend your money on and who you vote for is what couts. Don't worry about Clinton, he does what he does, and it's actually not that bad. Take a stand yourself - educate yourself, and live acordingly.
In re: the pictures used in this 'Documentary', as accomplished as the artist is, I would suggest you usse real photos of both the dead, those who were 'chopped' and lived, and the corpses polluting the largest freshwater lake in the world. Those are astounding images.
Your piece is touching. D artwork tells a story. As parent, I am moved to tears by notion of something that horrific happenin to my family. Saw Htl Rwanda and was moved by song n voice of Ms Cox. Creative ways to perpetuate the healing process is good stuff. Itz always nice to have a spur to feel. If you feel something, your still with loving spirit on our troubled globe. Help us feel compassion, cool. I worked for me today. FYI: LEFT TO TELL by Immaculée Ilibagiza. . Thanks.
nice documentary, was expecting to see actual footage but still i hope u got an A. also ur comments on the video makes me REAL FUCKING ANGRY, HOW THE FUCK THE WORLD DIDNT REACT TO SUCH MASSACRE! THANKS ALOT FUCKING CLINTON AND THE REST OF THE WORLD FOR ALLOWING SUCH THING! ASSHOLES!
Clinton could not react. If you remember that shit face was too busy getting head during this time. He probably thought he had his own problems to fix.
His hesitation to enter Rwanda was because American UN troops had just been drug down the streets of Mogadishu and mutilated, as you remember from the movie of Black Hawk Down. Americans were furious and he didn't want to go through that again. Either way, it was the UN's responsibility to stop a genocide per the Never Again law passed after the Holocaust.
You are right. Today, the UN is reluctant to call the situation in Darfur "genocide" because, by the UN law, if there is a genocide then peacekeepers are automatically required to be sent to stop it.
Thank you fabiouluss for sharing this video. Very good sketches and soundtrack. Better than hearing american rock-pop songs that are on some of the other Rwandan videos. Everyone needs to know what happened and what could happen again anywhere without awareness.
Thank y'all for your comments. I wanted to put more information but it'd have been too long for a 4 minutes documentary. So I decided to go for introductory and preface instead. It is now up to you if you are interested to do a thorough research. I'm working on a few others projects that will complement this one. Thanks guys!!!

What happened during those hard times were horrible and i can't believe it actually happened. None of those people deserve to be put through that kind of hell ever. They suffered and were in pain every last minute of their lives. Its wrong and it shouldn't have happened. But even though it shouldn't have happened it was not the soldiers fault they had to fallow orders and that was to be peace keepers.

territory war between France and US, where in the hell did you get that from? not to mention it was belgium who had occupied Rwanda before this, France was just supllying weapons to the Rwandan military which then supported the Inteerhamwe hutu militia even though it was supposed to protect the people, and so the Tutsi rebels, Rwandan Patriotic Front, had to fight for themselves while there fellow tutsi people are getting slaughtered

1individeo, US didnt want Rwanda, not even close, infact Clinton didnt even care about Rwanda at all, which is why he didnt do anything, and if he wanted the tutsis to win, you would think he would send troops to stop the hutus from killing all the tutsis

Let's pray for these 6 millions human beings who will never have protection on this earth and who wait a reign of justice.
agaculama 4 years ago
This video is a tribute to the victims of the genocide (the victims!!). I came up with this idea because my best friends are Rwandans, yet they're not Tutsis but what happened what a manipulation by Tutsis authorities and other countries (not the population) to get access to some of the natural resources that are found in the Congo
fabiouluss 4 years ago
But this short video was meant to remind us that people died! Now my people (my own people) are dying in the Congo as a result of this war why would I make a Hollywood-like video when my own brothers and sisters are dying? Are you a victim of the genocide? Have you lost relatives in the Congo of Rwanda? If you have I'm really sorry because it is painful
fabiouluss 4 years ago
but if you have not, please don't come here and judge me.

Agaculama.
agaculama 4 years ago
Hello Fabiouluss, my comments went over the film that you can find on the Utube website via /watch?v=HBm4bLBuIrg. I have no special problem with your artistic production! You will find the big Canadian lier I criticize! Some reactions of bloggers were sociologically interesting! Good luck. Agaculama.
agaculama 4 years ago
Are you Hutu sir? Or just an Interhamwe sympathiser. I think with things like Rwanda we should not point blame on anyone. It is no ones fault. Not Dallaire, not President Clinton or anyone's. It is simply the failure of humanity and the failure of humans to respond. The fact is that there was no justice in Rwanda and let us hope it never happens again.
nowarnomore 4 years ago
Hello Nomorewarnomore! I'm not a Hutu, a Interahamwe sympathizer, a WASP. I'm only a former war surgeon that observed the numerous lyers who destroyed the Rwandese nation. Of course Hutu extremists killed both Hutus, Hutsi or Tutsi, and Tutsi extremists killed both Tutsi, Bagogwe and Hutu. Both camps have blood on the hands. My work in 1994 was to operate around 1000 casualties in Kigali, the majority of which were Hutu! Faithfully Yours. Agaculama.

Hey, Nomorewarnomore, are You an Iroquois Indian or a South-Western Pappoo? Agaculama.

6/ I'm waiting on this day for the memory of 6 millions Rwandese and Congolese citizens who have been killed or died without eating or being treated because of the wars that started on October the 1st, 1990. These wars and killings were provoked by the Tutsi extremists under the order of Paul Kagame, who's working as a puppet of the US strategy in Central Africa.
agaculama 4 years ago
5/ This video is really a shame. Romeo Dallaire needs to be put on trial for his active role in the promotion of RPF/FPR rebels, and for his passive role in the protection of the victims of the killings. There would be a good place for him and for his boss Koffi Annan, for a serious trial in the TPIR of Arusha.
agaculama 4 years ago
4/ He has no politeness, no proudness, no essential moral value: in 1994, he was just a mercenary without love and compassion for the poor Rwandese people that needed protection of the international community. Dallaire had a great hate against France, serving the interests of Washington with the camouflage of a French-speaking soldier. Just a pawn on the great game!
agaculama 4 years ago
3/ Dallaire is a puppet military and would be better used as a French-Cancan dancer than as a UN military adviser. He's a shame for the Canadian army, a shame for the world peace, just a shame. Now, he speaks about "battle stress" when he don't want to answer to a question asking for his own responsability in the killings of 1994. Even as a Liberal Party member in the Canadian Senate, Dallaire refuses to answer to questions sended by mail.
agaculama 4 years ago
2/ Dallaire was the highest graded officer of the MINUAR/UNAMIR UN intervention DPKO troops in Rwanda. He didn't counteract the delivery of arms to the FPR/RPF troops of his friend Paul Kagame. He was présent in the Rwandese Military Academy "Camp Kigali" barracks when at least 2 of the 10 abducted Belgian paratroopers were already killed, according to his own written testimony in his shameful book. He did absolutely nothing in order to save the victims of the killings.
agaculama 4 years ago
1/ As a former warsurgeon (1994) and humanitary surgeon (1995-1996)in Rwanda, I answer to this Hollywood-like video. This propaganda video is really a shame, made with constructed images that sometimes have nothing to do with the killings of Rwanda: like the visage of an arrested milicia men in eastern Congo that has been arrested by pro-Kabila brigade! General Major Romeo Dallaire is one of the highest criminals in the history of Rwanda. Read further.

Nobody stopped the killings, waiting the New World Orders???
agaculama 4 years ago
You sound like you beleive what you say! Great! For a surgeon you are quite the illiterate type. No syntax nor spelling for what matters. And while you are obviously pro-Hutu you don't want to admit it. I am pro-life, something a surgeon who lived amidst all these and is disgusted with the politics that created the whole mess should be, too.
Summoner75 4 years ago
Also, Clinton DECLARED that there would be no interferene whatsoever, in countries thet were of no political value to the US. He did so, some six months after he was informed about the Rwanda civil war.
Summoner75 4 years ago
Also, all the administration's spokesmen were instructed, for what words NOT to use when refering to Rwandan civil war. Words like "massacre", "ethnic cleansing" etc.
What you say about the New York meeting between Clinton and Tutsi representatives is not true and can only be confirmed by a propaganda newsreel that circulated later, in the mid 1995 to cover up Clinton's ill-will to help a country that had no oil to exploit.
Summoner75 4 years ago
By the time millitary forces arrived, nearly 3 million people had died and the cleansing had cooled down.
Stop watching American millitary B movies. And stop delluding yourself that 3000 paratroopers could ever possibly stop the blood-bred millions of Hutu and Tutsi. Can you say "Black Hawk Down"?
Since you were there, what was the weapon of choice for the population?

The twisted irony of all of this is, had the US decided to do something, and sent troops, then the rest of the world would have criticized us for trying to police the world or of being aggressors. Americans surely would have died, however one has to wonder, how many less than 800,000 men women and children would have died if we HAD done something. It's a question that will haunt our generation for decades to come. Keep your eyes on Darfur. History has a way of repeating itself.

bullshit that americans are fault either way, it just d. The USA and other countries should have done something in Rwanda, so yes it was a mistake to let the genocide happen, and in other cases I suppose they shouldn't get involved. It shouldn't be based on whether you fucked up the last time, it should be what's the good thing to do with each oppotunity. Pretty plain and simple.
ianotto 5 years ago
After the holocaust the UN made passed a law called Never Again. It's purpose was that if a genocide was about to happen, it became the responsibility of the international community (UN) to step in to stop. Genocide is not war it is the intent to exterminate completely a race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or community. The genocide is the fault of Rwandans, but it is UN law to step in to make sure no community is exterminated.
kltr9901 5 years ago
You know what's really funny. When America gets involved, America is at fault. When America doesn't get involved, America is at fault. Is America the only nation in the world? Africans condemn America almost nonstop. Where were the Africans?
daytraderaz 5 years ago
You shouldnt throw around the generalization of "Africans" around too much, you might just come off ignorant. It was not specifically Americas fault, it was the International communities. The thing is, in cases like these, it is expected that the richest countries should act first rather than force already indebted countries fall further into the hole.

His hesitation to enter Rwanda was because American UN troops had just been drug down the streets of Mogadishu and mutilated, as you remember from the movie of Black Hawk Down. Americans were furious and he didn't want to go through that again. Either way, it was the UN's responsibility to stop a genocide per the Never Again law passed after the Holocaust.
kltr9901 5 years ago
You are right. Today, the UN is reluctant to call the situation in Darfur "genocide" because, by the UN law, if there is a genocide then peacekeepers are automatically required to be sent to stop it.

great idea for a video! good music selection and very nice editing, but still a bit too little information for such a long clip
