This is my and my Grandpas song. He died on October 23,2010, but that hasn't stopped me from the things i love. The last thing we did together was buy my horse Cobalt from and acution I wanted to Barrel Race, thats what i do. Sadly this year i performed only a few times before my horse pulled a tendon and now im out for the season but i don't really care because if i really want to i could use one of my other horses but i don't Cobalt is special to me and hes the only horse i use for competion.

Not sure how anyone could dislike this song. If you listen to the words they express many fathers feelings they were unable to express, but deep within their chest they hold their daughters very very close. Being an old grizzled man I get dust in my eyes when I listen closely to this song as it parallels my life with my daughter. She is why I am still alive to this day. Not sure if i will get to dance with her at her wedding but I am holding out as long as I can to get the opportunity.

I coached her in track,basketball, football, and softball. But I needed to take her fishing, horseback riding and camping to fulfill her needs. I got too busy to spend the right time with my daughter.

i lost my father when i was 3 1/2 im 20 now and when he passed my moms dad (i called him papa) became my father figure i was very close to him he passed away when i was 11 and my fathers father passed when i was 9 i miss all three of them but i know that someday i will see them again

Everytime I listen to this song I cry. My mom got devorsed to my dad when i was a baby. Then got remarried when I was 3. He pushed my dad out of my life. This is my and my Grandpas song. He died on October 23,2010, but that hasn't stopped me from the things i love. The last thing we did together was buy my horse Cobalt from and acution I wanted to Barrel Race, thats what i do. Sadly this year i performed only a few times before my horse pulled a tendon and now im out for the season but i don't really care because if i really want to i could use one of my other horses but i don't Cobalt is special to me and hes the only horse i use for competion.

Not sure how anyone could dislike this song. If you listen to the words they express many fathers feelings they were unable to express, but deep within their chest they hold their daughters very very close. Being an old grizzled man I get dust in my eyes when I listen closely to this song as it parallels my life with my daughter. She is why I am still alive to this day. Don't always assume that your father doesn't Love you. Some fathers have a hard time expressing their love the same way women do.
I can tell you I spent time with my daughter but it wasn't always the best , for her, as I didn't understand she had other needs, besides being my little princess.
I coached her in track,basketball, football, and softball. But I needed to take her fishing, horseback riding and camping to fulfill her needs. I got too busy to spend the right time with my daughter.

@PROUDDISNEYFAN i don't blame you. me and my daddy never had a Daughter-Father releshinship like i wished we had. i know he gives me stuff but he neer says i love you or great job. it's like im not even his little girl. everytime i see a comercial of a little girl with her daddy it reminds me abt the releshinship me and my daddy neer had and i start crying. so i totally agree with you. but we are special in god's eyes.

my dad past away one year ago and this was his song to me, i cherrish this song so much especially since i was really mean to him and treated him like crap cuz he left when i was a baby and then finally came back when i 7 or 8, when all he was tryin got do was to be a father...

he left 20 days before i was born came back when i was 3 & left when i was 7...
he's always saying he messed up, but i wont take him back.
he never loved me enough, to even call me his daughter.

I think it's sad how my daddy says I'm grown up everyday because the sun visors in his truck will actually cover the sun now but they didn't use to and I just know that one day I'm gonna really miss him I love u Daddy and I always will :)

I love my daddy with all my heart. He has congestive Heart Failure. And its really progressing fast. My mama tells me all the time, to be with him as much as I can, because we don't know how long he's gonna be here. I have my Sweet 16 in October, and I will deff dance to this song with my daddy. I don't know what im gonna do without him. Please pray for him. Always tell your daddy you love him, you never know when God's gonna take him. Never go to sleep with regrets. I love you daddy!!

this song goes out to my Uncle 'O' bc he's been the father figure in my life, since my father left when I was only 2...I'm turning 23 this year...so yeah... :/ I also would like to dedicate this song to my grandpa(may his soul rest in peace) I LOVE EVERY MAN WHO's loved their daughter or neice as their daughter, thats a true man and VERY BIG BLESSING in a girls life. <3

My wife says she’s ‘disappointed’ that I’ve cancelled her brother’s invitation to our daughter’s wedding next month.
Thing is, he was made redundant last month. I wish him all the best for the future, but in his present state I don’t want him around. Guys like that tend to spread their own failure, & I DON’T want him infecting our family with his sorry-ass hard luck stories.
We need to face this recession with optimism & enthusiasm, not sympathy with those who aren’t up to the mark.
