The film wasn't long enough. It could have gone on for hours...no days. This problem of people co-opting and stealing Native traditions and customs (culture vultures) should be fiercely addressed. Although the powwows nowadays are mere shadows of the old spiritual ones in generations past, the integrity of this tradition should still be respected and protected.

Would they be offended if I danced at a pow wow? Even if I didn't couldn't they see it as positive in that it's human unity, and trying to learn about your culture?Many culture's went through troubles in history, but they don't have that much bitterness now.If someone is curious.
