my ex was her grand kid...my son is her greatgrand kid the whole family is wack my ex had sex with my brother i caught em and she kidnapped my child and ran off hes a grown man now ..my crime to deserve this i told her to stay away from my brother the meth dealer no one in my family has seen my brother or her or my son in more than 20 years!

I love, love, love Joan Blondell. She was like a mixture of Jean Harlow and Ginger Rogers over at WB. Wish she was more well-known.

@NoirFemme Well....I never forgot JOAN BLONDELL, it's just that every generation loses a few of it's stars. Today, Leslie Nielsen died. Do you think he'll be remembered 50 years from now? Probably not...it all depends on who's running the show.

Joan Blondell also introduces her to Cagney: "Your remember miss Bi--, uh miss Rich." Pre-code musicals had all sorts of lines they couldn't have gotten away with later. In 42nd St. a girl sits on a guy's lap during a dance number and he says, "Where are you sittin"?" and she says, "On a flagpole dearie, on a flagpole." Or(referring to Ginger Rogers' character) "Anytime Annie; she only said no once and then she didn't hear the question." Great stuff.

@chomsky88 Thanks for repeating some of the little snippets of pre-Hays dialogue which were usually said so fast, that you'd have to see the movie several times just to really appreciate it (good for box office). The girl trying to get off the flagpole was Una Merkel.
