  • Jet City with new tubes is a contender.

  • you need to do a test vid for the carvin V3 i have it and it sounds killer

  • sounds brootal mate

  • Hey guitar amp rewiever i will tell you something honestly....take your guitar ....and put in your ass . bye

  • its funny how people use line 6 as an insult :DD

  • @GuitarRazze that's because Line 6 really IS an insult...

  • whatttt? a powerball doesnt sound anything like this...

  • Very close between this and the Boogie,i think the Engl ,just barely loses to the Mesa..Love Engl's rhythm tone!

  • <3

  • First Riff reminds me of Frost Like Ashes'- A Cruel Verse

  • @thekcor that band kicks ass

  • where is the tone its just muddy as hell

  • my buddy seen one a dese at a Guitar Center and thought it said EAGL...lmmfdo

  • @bchewdown I can see how that happened, since the N looks like a A with a bit of imagination.

  • is this with engl powerball 1 or 2?

  • @ohmyfine

    haha xD

Look at the Date and the Picture!

  • Congratulations on making a £1300 amp sound like a Line 6 Spider.

  • The best part of this demo is the amazingly wet and realistic the harmonic sounds at 0:28

The rest of this video sucks. Amp is the best out of them all tho

  • Guitar World does a very good demo for the ENGL Powerball 100 as well. This amp has sustain for days from what I saw on the G.W. video. The foot switch for this amp head is over $200.00! If you want this amp you better get the foot switch as well because they are limited in quantity. Too bad this amp head is on clearance at your various online stores.

  • 0:23 riff sounds amazing on Engl!

  • One Day......I will buy this amp..

  • @DannyOFtod do it man I love the amp, can t get a bad tone out of it, and i never played an amp that was so heavy like this one

  • Compare every amp of this series VDO. I most like ENGL. And, The price very fair.

  • it does sound good

  • I heard one of these live at a show. plugged straight from guitar to powerball and this thing was way too digital and fake sounding. Once the band started playing I couldnt hardly hear the guitarist anymore. It may be good for room jam sessions or studio but definitely didnt sound good live. The Mesa triple rectifier the other band used had a little less gain but still saturated and clear. I could still hear the guitarists when the band played together.

  • @spyicu for some reason i just find that hard to believe...ive heard several bands play with these live and they sounded frikkkin clean as hell

  • Great demo... if you like one style of music. Not btching but this doesn't help anyone that want's a more 'gainy' tone or who wants to hear the cleans... oh well.

  • sounds very very metal, has that extra gain stage for natural EMG tone is seems.

  • Instead of whining about the settings, try to listen closely and hear the tonal differences between the amps. In fact, I think these are excellent demos. That test sample was probably recorded clean so they could play the exact same riffs with every amp.. so it leaves no choice but to listen the difference between the amps.

  • what do you mean by "recorded clean"?

  • @AnathemusVideos those clips are re-amped... He recorded dry guitar sound and then directed the dry signal into amp. That way he doesnt have to play the same riffs all over again. Only thing left to do was to mic the cabs and record their sound.

  • Guys I own an Engl Powerball! THE BEST FRICKIN' AMP I EVER PLAYED! I wouldn't trade it for nothing! Buy IT!

  • Sodom uses engl and it can be heard on their recenet selftitled album "sodom" .... or in m-16..

  • best amp !

  • balls-on-the-wall!!

  • ahhhn best sounding out of all of them!!!

  • @GrKmOzO34 True. The more I review these various amps with their sound clips, this amp stands out the most. The Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Roadster is a very good sounding American made amp head at a fair price. The best super high end foreign made amp that I've heard thus far is the Diezel VH4. Overall, in all fairness all these amps sound good. It's just a matter of an individual's taste and what satisfies their tonal pallet. We as musicians on youtube should respect everybody's tonal pallet

  • @GrKmOzO34 2nd best. mesa sounds tighter. just my opion. ENGL sounds awsome , would love to have both

  • @custommustangak you're the crap

  • tell the pros that

  • Im thinking of selling this amp and get a Mark V.....

  • DO IT!

  • im suprised, with how shitty the settings r, this one always sounds good great job guys

  • Those aren't the settings, it's a picture of the amp. The power and standby aren't even on in the picture.

  • great tone!

  • Way overpriced sterile sound.

  • @DaveDoggOwns

I definately agree with overpriced, but I'm in love with the tone you can get from this amp just my opinion

  • rookie

  • Try the Engl SE sounds better than the Powerball in my own opinion!

  • I agree, but it costs twice the price than the powerball

  • Very good point!

    But the savage does not!

And has some what the same type of sound!

  • i tested the powerball and savage and i choose the powerball , savage looks maybe little better but to much noises and stuff;

  • @themaggot8

twice? afaik the fireballs around 1100 and the powerball at around 1500 (euros)

powerballs definately worth the extra 400

  • doh but it´s also much more expensive

  • The Roaster and the Powerball sound the best I think.

  • Rivera Knucklehaed also souds great, but Powerball is the best.

  • never ending gain, low-end and definition, the reason i have one this amps, sounds wonderful
