To be honest Scotland is much prettier and the same form of vastness. Go on the highway Northwest of Luss and the beauty is alpine and this. Much cheaper to get there too and a lot nicer cottages to be sure. So heaven is not here or anywhere until you die.
@skipsassy1 well i cant speak for scotland cause i havent been there (will do some day for sure), but i have been to switzerland , london , frankfurt and denver colorado and in my experience ladhak is way more beautiful than any of the places i mentioned. what makes you say "nicer cottages for sure"? BTW i went there again in 2011 on a motorcycle mission and would love to share my entire set from that trip but since this is the internet and you are a stranger i wont , drop me a line.
@skipsassy1 to continue on our misconception of "nicer cottages for sure" , what makes travelling in india great is once you get past the chaos n stuff, we have things that would cater to all kinds of people very rich , rich , poor , very poor, pathetic and you can select the kind of leisure , cottage or travel package you want and you get what you pay for , no other country would offer so many options. anyway i am no travel agent LOL , just clearing misconceptions thats all.
@bhavinjanjarkiya1 you need to do lots of research before you are ready to venture here . i would say start your reseach from "bcmtouring" they have good travellogues , photo logs , tips, and other researched material there, my photolog also sits there , so do your research and plan your journey for august 2012 , august is my fav time to visit.

Hey that is not true that only scorpio can ride i have tata safari which i think performed better than scorpio on these hills. From shimla to recongpio,kaza,leh,kargil,srinagar,jammu and back to chandigarh without a single snag.

safari is a great truck no doubt so is toyota's new land rover , but i think scorpio's are best value for money.
