  • ever run it in the quarter?

  • Hey bud! Sickkk truck. I am coming over from the darkside soon(Duramax) want to try something new. How are these trans holding up stock? Also are you happy with the truck overall?? I love the damn thing! Do you have facebook? i would love to talk with u more about this bad beast!

  • Have you thought about the banks intercooler?

  • thats crazy haha at what rpm was peak torque?

  • What size tires for this dyno run?

  • @linkthemain 37 inch Toyo Open Country M/Ts.

  • @superdutyscott That's ridiculous. The 6.4 isa monster.

  • This truck with nitrous would be sick at the track.. Thank God Ford finally has a fast truck. Sick everyone in my town giving me crap for owning one...

  • @RebelliousRider178 fords are slower because theyre gm counterparts are near a 1.000 lbs lighter. but thats why ford trucks are better towing vehicles then junk chevys.

  • 1326 is enough torque to spin the world the other way. this truck is sick

  • @a1326lbs of tq is what a factory honda tq in first gear. its derived from gear ratio and torque. A factory crappy ass honda in first gear can spin tires in first gear because of this well know fact. creating 1326lbs of tq in lets say, 5th gear at 100 mph and being able to spin tires is something different. its called power. which what HP is trying to tell you...

  • @logic2reason hondas have no torque

  • Yeah is this the fine line painting a drywall 6.4L? The crew cab short box

  • Torque(RPM)/5252 = horsepower.

Hp is derived from that equation on dynos. Torque equals hp at 5252 rpms ALWAYS. torque is rotational force, dynos measure it at the wheels. Hp is a unit of work, so the more horsepower, the more work it can do, period. Having the torque only means it can do the same work at lower rpms.

  • what kind of fuel milage does it get?

  • @4200patrick I get 21-22 MPG on the highway if I stay off the turbos. In town I get more like 14-15 MPG.

  • whats your mpg ratings? city/hwy and combined? im curious because i want the new 6.7 and i plan on upgrading it

  • @ZeroDragondelta9 the 6.7L gets better fuel economy without modding it since it now has the new Torqshift 6 speed tranny. There really aren't any good options out there yet either for making BIG power with the 6.7L. I think the highest one has dynoed at so far is like 500 HP. There are several 6.4L's out there dynoing over 1000 HP now!

  • hey scott do you recommend the afe intake

  • @mattledirt I have no complaints or problems with it and it obviously works.

  • @superdutyscott did you get the check engine light?

  • so how is torque and HP actually different?

  • @7150285 Torque is the power behind pulling and accelerating. Horsepower is the top speed it will go. Thats why trucks have more torque because of their weight and cause they are use to haul stuff.

  • @MadBullBunny well, i know what torque is but just couldnt completely understand what HP really is...

  • @MadBullBunny and heard HP is more important in acceleration than torque

  • @7150285 Ever heard of the wrote Torque wins the race? I forgot who it was who said it, can't find it on google, but torque is the accelerating aspect of a vehicle. Why do you think trucks can just plow through the mph with all the weight they have on? Then they top out at like 140 cause they only have like 500hp. HP is topspeed and torque is accelerating.

  • @MadBullBunny yeah, but i heard the torque is mainly for brute force acceleration and it's mainly for acceleration from a complete stop, but higher HP can get u faster from high speed to higher speed. I heard of the wrote torque gets the vehicle moving and HP keeps the vehicle moving

  • @7150285 Hp achieves higher speeds. Torque is the accelerating aspect of getting up and go.

  • @MadBullBunny I think torque is more important for pickup during acceleration since it weighs alot, but HP is more important for sedan during acceleration...

  • i finally took mine out to the dyno. i'm running the same set up as you. i hit 568/1112. there were other trucks running the same thing, and i ran higher than all of them. any idea why your truck runs such higher numbers?

  • I was just looking at a video of a 5.9 Cummins making over 1200 torque with 'just' 413 horsepower and another one making 593 horses and 1340 torque. so what's new under the sun with this 6.4? Not knocking any of the big 3 but I wish you folks would get your facts straight. Don't forget about a few Cummins and Duramaxes that are making 1000+ hp.. and doesn't Cummins hold the hp record as well? Props to this Powerstroke but Cummins is one hell of an engine whether u r biased or not.

  • @SirtubalotTX The thing is the 6.4 makes this kind of power with just a tuner and exhaust thats the difference.

  • @tksemipro Fact is, all 3 can make 'big' power with just a tune and exhaust. Just buy what works for you. As for me? I like all three but prefer the Cummins.

  • @SirtubalotTX True, but none of them make as much as the 6.4 on just a tuner and exhaust. What is the biggest tune the cummins has 175hp? Not to mention how shitty the transmission is that the dodge has.

  • @tksemipro I don't have time to sit here and post other vids showing otherwise but criticize Dodge all you want. The biggest 'canned' tune for a Cummins may be 175 but is that the highest gain thats been made with a Cummins with 'just' a tune and exhaust? better look around before you make that assumption. Also, it's silly to criticize any one transmission because I've seen all 3 have some serious issues outside of a build. Outside of 'tune/exhaust' only? that's definitely a no brainer.

  • @SirtubalotTX Criticize dodge? I owned a ram srt10 and currently own a ram 1500 rumble bee and a charger daytona. But when it comes to diesels I'll take a powerstroke over a cummins anyday. Even tho I do like the sound of a cummins better.

  • @tksemipro For the love of God.. just buy what works for you. One thing I am thankful for.. we have choices. Can you imagine if Cummins was the only real diesel choice we had.. Oh the HORROR! (At least in your case) lol

  • @SirtubalotTX WTF? Why did you even watch this video let alone make a stupid comment about how much hp a cummins can make with 20K put into it?

  • @tksemipro I watched this video because I wanted to goober. And why are YOU making stupid comments? If you read my first post I made it clear I was no knocking any of the big 3 and complimented the beloved Powerstroke. I like poking at the critics from time to time and there's not much you can do about it. Now, that is a good question.. how much horsepower CAN a Cummins make with 20K put into it. I can tell you one thing, it won't need that much to make what this Powerstroke is making.

  • @SirtubalotTX Yeah, and I can tell you one thing. It will need more than the 2k this truck has in performance mods.

  • @SirtubalotTX Why don't you itemize for us?

  • Mwahahahahaha... Fuck Dodge.

  • Are you running the 310 aggressive as is? Or do you have a dyno version that locks the converter and holds the trans in drive? I never could lay any good #'s down cause the truck shifted to OD

  • any problems since the tune... just worried about something breaking and then SOL...

  • I have a question about this one.

How often did you go to a dyno running this tune and get this hp to torque ratio?

    2.27 ft/lbs/hp

There are 700 hp 5.9 cummins out there that doesn't run that torque and this 6.4 got it with just 582 hp.

  • @GigaMinion the 6.4L Powerstroke is a torque monster.

  • @superdutyscott

sell shit, obviously if it did that! Damn thing belongs more in a damn Aircraft Carrier than a truck.

i think i might pick one up though. How much do reg cab 6.4's run for?

  • agreed, but kinda pointless when you need power to move a vehicle. but seriously. IF you can make a turbo diesel run over 7K rpm then you have a ridiculous monster! but when you have 1000lbs of tq and you stay below 3000rpms, its not so impressive

  • All duramax and cummins owners all make fun of this engine, only cause they cant beat it.

  • And to think, there are still GM fanboys out there knocking the 6.4 saying you can't get any power out of them. Comical indeed.

  • thanks man. i really appreciate it. looks like thats what i'm going to be getting.

  • thanks. have you heard much about people having problems with running the 310 tune? i've heard cause its so much power things start breaking and the tranny starts messing up. you heard any of this?

  • There are guys finding they have to replace their torque converter with a billet one from Suncoast. I want to eventually anyways. The tranny itself seems to handle it pretty fine until you start running nitrous. Also Spartan sells their TCM which is supposed to extend the life of your tranny by tightening up the shifts even more than the factory one does. Spartan trans tuning is the best out there in my opinion. The guys blowing up their trannys are running their trucks sooooo hard.

  • (ie: lots of drag strip runs, and burnouts). The majority of burnouts I have done are on You Tube!!!

  • thanks man. have you heard much about the flo-pro systems? i'm looking at the 5" from the downpipe back with the DPF/cat delete.

  • That's what I'm running.

  • i'm looking into getting the spartan for my 6.4...are there any other mods that i need to get first or can i run the tunes off the stock truck?

  • @LXA359 you will have to at least do a DPF delete. I went with a complete 5" exhaust from the downpipe back. You will also have to get a cold-air intake. I went with the AFE setup. Those are the only other REQUIRED mods. This is why the 6.4L Powerstrokes are so freakin awesome.

  • @LXA359 You also need a dpf delete kit. Type in dpf delete kits on google.

  • @LXA359

You'll need to focus on the SUCK and BLOW portion of the three part saying.

    Intake and Exhaust.

I have the AFE Cold Air Intake with Pro Guard 7 Media and MBRP 4" Duals and the Spartan 310 and DPF/CAT delete. If you keep running the 310 without doing at least an EGR Delete with a waste gate...then you'll blow your studs according to Aaron at Rudy's. So I'm replacing my studs probably, which involves taking the cab off.

  • @jman785

hmmm according to diesel power mag you can change the head studs on the 6.4 with the cab on. they did it anyways.

  • Those 6.4TT's are Sick motors !! SWEET !!

  • yeah lets just hope the new 6.7 will live up to the hype.

  • I love my 6.4 so no plans on getting the new 6.7...but they will probably be amazing motors. WAY too much emissions crap on them though! Someone will figure out how to fix that (probably Spartan first)!

  • @superdutyscott love the truck man...hows that tranny holdin, diesel power said they were strong units i just wanna get some owner insight

  • Tranny is doing amazing. I watch my TC slip and it is never over 1000 rpms. I keep wondering when it's going to give out but it keeps pulling strong. I don't flog it too much either! Spartan tuning has a lot to do with the life of these transmissions due to the increase in line pressure and early TC lockup.

  • is SCT better then spartan

  • SCT now has some pretty good tuners writing tunes close to the power of the Spartan tuners...I chose Spartan because they have the most experience with 6.4L tuning out there. It shows on the dyno and more importantly at the track!

  • OOOOOOO YA

  • 1326! thats allota torque my man
