I sold the motor, radiator, wiring, ect and bought a complete 2003 r1 motor for less then i got for the stock banshee motor. metal tech out of phx fabed the new motor, rad, air box, fuel tank, ect for 1500 bucks. after the little things like chain converting ect i was 300 dollars out of pocket. motor was stock and putting out 157hp to the tires. Not to mention i would dune all day on pump gas and then smoke all the 20k plus bikes. my favorite excuse was "oh its not tuned right"
Its cute watching these bikes, its almost in slow motion vs the 2 strokes. dont get me wrong i love 4 strokes but for a fraction of the cost of anyone of these tanks, fabbing up an r1 motor just seems smarter. I think i even saw one of these bikes being towed to the starting line lol.
