Thank you for this I was having problems lighting a simple forum video, i put a shop lamp right on my face I felt kinda silly when I pointe it at the ceiling and everyhting was fixed.
I am glad you liked my video. Having done field video production forever and a day, there is no doubt in my mind that the most important aspects of lighting for video production are exactly what I cover in this video. Knowing direct/diffused and considering which direction the light is coming from. If you understand those concepts, you can figure out how to light in any situation you find yourself in.

Hi Triger!
Yes, it seems counter intuitive to point the light AWAY from your subject, but that is indeed usually the way to go!
