I think there's a part in our brain that functions as the CPU and other part that stores data. The operating system is human instinct which upgrades itself in different stages from infant to adulthood. We are basically "stored data" in a harddrive. If the content of the computer harddrive could be transferred/cloned/migrated to another hard drive, is that possible for us? Human brain could be wipe out of data (amnesia) but the operating system still functioning. All it needed is data to process.
