My friend always sings the last 3 lines of this song. "so I dug right down to the bottom of my soul, and cried... 'cause I felt nothing." She can't feel lifes pains. Whenever someone dies, or somthing bad happens, she can't cry about it, she can only cry about the fact that she can't feel it. The poor girl. She WANTS to feel. But, she can't.

In the dialoge before the song the women laments that she always has to play younger characters, he says something in reply and she giggles and says 'caught'. What does he say to get that reply, no matter how often I listen to it I just can't make it out. Anyone?

I absolutely love this song. At first glance it seems like one of the lesser songs from the show, but if you really analyze it, it's so powerful.

I do agree that this was a little too harsh for my taste, but still a good performance. Is it just me, though, or does she kind of look like a female version of Mario Lopez during his "Saved By The Bell" Days? :-P
