this took me and my friend 9 trys, the hardest acheivement by far.

its not that killing the tank is hard its constantly getting attacked by a smoker, boomer, hunter or jocky

The thing i am trying to get the Tank Burger Achievement Solo i did try it on the same level as you but i kill off the AI'S right before the horde comes and i always get something like a charger or smoker i can never make it to the tank alone and all my friends don't the L4D2 they play Halo i hate Halo lol

Only if you kill off all the AI players and manage to kill the tank by yourself with melee...it would be difficult but it is possible

The big musclebound guy who throws cement at you is a Tank. The guy with one big arm who charges at you and then slams you into the ground is a Charger.

that question made no sense. You can do it with anyone aslong as they are not AI because the AI will shoot it. all 2700 hp of the tank must be dropped by melee

i meant you can do it with other people but as long as you hit it once and the other people you are playing with it kill it with a melee weapon you will get the achievement as well....your right it didnt make sense sorry haha

I'm almost completely sure you can get it without hitting it yourself. Never tried without hitting it, but I doubt you wouldn't get it, probably just need to be playing while it occurs
