So wrong it's laughable!!! Constantine came centuries after Christ. Why do you think the "Christian" problem was growing in pre-Christendom Rome??? The earliest Gospel written "Mark" depicts Christ as the son of God. Christians are Christians today because of the Gospel. So humanity saw Jesus as Christ long before the Nicene Council.. This might be one of the LAMEST arguments proposed by ignorant and pathetic atheists.
@bennyfitty Christianity was born under Jesus not constatine, I'm not a believer but your statement implies you completely over-estimate the importance of constantine. Nothing was going to stop Christianity.
Jesus Christ is so different from any Muslim. He was loving caring and merciful to people on general. He followed principles and also stand against persecutions among the prostitutes and women in Israel. He is the messiah and savior of this world and his death was neccessary so that man can recieve blessings. God loves u know matter if u are black, gay, white,Asian,Muslim, hindu or even Arabic he died for the sins of all just accept his word and u would be saved
@chinesewispas Yes you are correct about imagery with pagan sun behind this jesus image that is popular in the ROMAN church but not in the jewish Church. Did the Lord choose the Romans? No, the Romans, are pagans. The Lord chose the Jews. He is the Jewish God. Let the Romans follow thier jesus. But those who seek the redemption of the Lord almighty may be accepted by the bloodshed on the cross for all mankind. All must repent even the Jews, for no one is able to stand pure before the Lord.
jesus was a carpenter, who just figured everything out about the system,a revolutionary,a man of the people. who more than likely travelled east and learnt the fundamentals of buddism and incorporated them into his teachings which he was crucified for but his teachings never died out so constantine cleverly hid is pagan satanic religion behind it and this is still the case to this day. This is why you often see a picture of the sun behind jesus or a circle on the cross.
Favorite Eastern emperor is still Justinian. Too bad that so much bad gathers where there is so much potential for good, it's like the whole opposites attract rule all over again.
I think it's pretty funny that the number of heretics in the world only grew exponentially through time rather than decrease, despite the efforts of the church. But I guess the reason why is pretty simple.
If it wasn't for this man, Christianity would have fizzled during the empire and wouldn't even exist at all. That's why I like Constantine, because he was the man that officially introduced christinity to the modern world.
Constantin was Serb...He was born in Serbian town Nish(Nais-latin).This Barbarian "theory" that we have ,whenever some great emperor was Slaven, then suddenly noone knows who he was.So he get this "barbarian" add on.We know everything about Greek or Roman emperors(even names of their cooks) but when Great emperor is Slaven then with some miracle noone knows who he was.Like for example Byzantine emperor Basil. Its conversion V to B.there is no Basil in balkan but Vasil. He could be Bulgar od Serb
"... without CTG Christianity would have fizzled out as a fringe following with barely any historical remnants to show for it."
This isn't entirely right: *before* Constantine, Christianity grew from nothing to 20 million or more adherents, during three hundred years in which Christians were often persecuted. It seems likely that Constantine had to take notice of Christianity because it had become so large. In many ways, the 'conversion' of Constantine did not do Christianity any favours.
@dcouchman you are a liar GOD DID SPEAK TO HIM and he told him "COQUER BY THIS SIGH" GOD OF CHRISTIANITY 312 A.D In Italy Constatine made Christianity the Religion that will and has Ruled the lives of billions of people
@dial3for3dwin Your right. Clearly, this video was made from a dim-witted secular, humanistic mind with no respect for God or his chosen conqueror. What part of "in hoc signo vinces" (in this sign, you will conquer) do they not understand. My line is descendant of emperor Constantine’s and I think it’s disgusting that this video makes it look like he was a pagan, when he was really a great orthodox saint and monarch.
@EmperorRayIV I am pretty sure that the sign you are talking about was supposedly written in ancient Greek "Εν τούτο νίκα", so why are to quoting it in latin?
@dcouchman Consantine was the one who shaped Christianity into what it is today. Yeah, it was popular, but man did it skyrocket when Constantine conveted. Some favours that Constantine done for Christinity were building gathering places for Christians to worship (one of the most famous ones is the St Peters Basillica in Rome). However, he did change the original view at some of the Synids he ordered. Anyway, thanks for the video
like or dislike, the fact of the matter is that without CTG Christianity would have fizzled out as a fringe following with barely any historical remnants to show for it. Anybody who intermingles religion and politics is following CTG's sordid example. But he left one hell of a mark on the world.
THE BIBLE IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST! Constantine (first beast) created an Image, and put Holy ghost men back in laws, and gave the pope. King James (2nd) beast gave life to the 66 books so that they could speak (the bible says) America built on the mark, kills in the name of it, and controls what the world buys and sells. God sent the Holy ghost not a book. Find Jesus in the spirit. THE BIBLE IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST!
wrong, dan brown. the vote at nicea was on the final nature of god...god,s son as the disciples believed him to be or god himself made flesh. also, one single personality or a triune deity....dan brown's writing is simply fiction. read the bible for yourselves and you will learn the truth!
@TheToocold Jesus(pbuh) never claimed to be son of God or God in flesh..God forbid..These were incorporated by Constantine. Early Christians were persecuted for believing in God alone and saw Jesus(pbuh) as their Messiah nothing less nothing more. Jesus(pbuh) taught his people what many prophets before him taught their people to worship God alone. The message never changed only the people. God is one and has no partners nor kids or wife...God forbid.
@jpapca what a chicken shit sheeple u are.Accept it,this cocksucker was a pagan that modified the the king james version of the bible to consolidate power. And all you idiots think that Christianity is the shit. All religeons are cults that rip u off.Why in the hell would religions need money?Don't they have enough faith that God will provide? And isn't money the root of all evil?Goddamn hypocrits!
I'm sorry but you are too illiterate for me to even have an argument. Why don't you go spew your Anti-religious babble at someone who cares. Seeing as you are an uneducated skin-sack of a human being, you probably couldn't cite the tiniest bit of evidence for what you claim. To say Constantine was Pagan goes against historical documents and first hand accounts, so unless you lived with Constantine, you are just speculating and spewing illogical rhetoric with no basis in fact.
What about a witch? I don't see how I hold society back by using historical fact to defend against an unreasonable imbecile. I would say its actually Introverted outcasts who have an obsession with anti-Christianity that holds us back, but then I realized nobody listens to you except other morons. Do you think using profanity makes you look any more logical? Find a better hobby and go get an education.
I am pretty perceptive, thank you. Your comment speaks volumes of who you are and how you mind works. I Wish we did have a time-machine to learn history first hand, but unfortunately all we have to work with is ancient documents. I hardly see how concluding a logical answer using historical documents holds the world back at all.
@jpapca just say what you really mean. I'm not as perceptive as you, but it sounds like you are a Bible thumper? true? now be honest....
it's funny if you went back in time and found out the truth... I don't think you would be able to handle it.
Those is power have always been full of shit. Those in power back then (Constantine) codified christianity. every critical part of it. from Heyzeus being devine to Mary being a virgin. etc etc.
Not exactly A bible thumper, I think much of it has been tainted. If I could find out the definitive truth I would accept it, even if it goes against everything I know.
@jpapca like a rotten piece of meat the tainted part makes the rest worthless. or maybe think of the worm in an apple... same thing... or radio-active waste... or...
Constantine only converted to Christianity because the pagan religions would not forgive him for killing his son and wife. The sign in the sky is pure fairytale. Imagine it, Christianity was born out of a murderer emperor, not unlike Islam was spread by a pedophile and mass murderer Muhammad.
@bennyfifty how could he be a pedophile, if his 1st wife is almost twice his age, in her forties, when he was in his twenties, it is only later that he married his youngest wife. who was very young, and in marriages in Islam, there is no compulsion in marriage, so she chose to marry him. u sound soooooo stupid...............................................
@bennyfifty I want historical evidence for your claims. Otherwise, they are worthless. Constantine may ahve been a sinner, but he was a great emperor, in fact he was the last great emperor.
And he was not the founder of christianity, inlike muhamad and islam. Very bad comparison, indeed.
@Eagle027 Justinian was good when he was not emperor, defeating the germanic tribes in gaul. But after that he was a mediocre emperor. His reign was short and he was killed in a battle against the persians.
@1999521 Where did you get your history, Justinian built Hegia Sofia, and re-established Roman rules through most of the Med. He was responsible for the Justinian Code. He did more to Christianize the Empire then Constantine. He also lived to a ripe old age of 82.
@bennyfifty Christianity was not born out of a murder emperor, but of CHRIST YEHUSHUA who died for our sins and rose again! So that those who believe in him shall not parish but have everlasting life.
Constantine inputing man made philosophies does not constitute the word of God being born. This is your soul in battle we are talking about. The more you opt out of listening to the word of God, the more you dont stand a chance.
Do you not question your comedians, and musicians? But God you do????
@bennyfifty Christianity was born by the early church and a salvation, a god who died for everyone's sin,not because of Constantine. that man plus Romans did more harm to the religions ideals than anyone persecuting the followers. the early church is what would be accountable if Jesus is divine (1st century is the early church.) and they do say he is the son of god and the savior of our sins.
@bennyfifty 1. Paganism wasn't so strict against crimes & ofc it wasn't stricter than Christianity. In fact it didn't pay much attention to morality generally.
2. It is not proven under which circumstances Constantine's wife & son died. Besides, assassinations were common in the ancient royal families. Constantine was a man of his age.
3. Constantine didn't give birth to Christianity; Christianity existed for 3 centuries before him & had millions of believers. Constantine simply made it legal.
Good video but anyone that takes Dan Browns book as history is either a moron or in some need of proper scholarship. The book is simply incorrect and its claims on Constantine are laughable!
Constantine was a pagan and he was also a christian convert. Any study of his decrees show that he was clearly more and more Christianized and that he did become the worlds first Christian Ruler. A saint in the Eastern Orthodox churches and as titled Great in the west. He did not create the Catholic Church
Their were movements in the Ottoman Empire, Ethiopia, Egypt, all through Arabia, that had no relationship with the East Roman Church, that preached that Jesus was the living word of God. I don't know what else you can say to that, you can only attribute the formation of the Eastern Orthodox Church to Constantine, which essentially at the time was a military regime, not a Church, totally in contrast to the NT, and also the OT is where the messiah was predicted. not the new testament.
i have seen over 25 viedos on rome cuz iam doing a rome this but make this more i dont fun mak eme want to wach this it has good suff in it but this it sooooo ummmmmm broing
so i guess constantine wrote the old testament also, and consolidated that, and i guess constantine influence reached the Churches in Arabia and Coptic Churches in Sudan and Ethiopia who confessed Jesus as the messiah also
@3825cortland if u believe jesus is the sun of god after watching this than ur an idiot, and u dont want to believe the truth. it stated that they belived he was a prophet of god not a son of god. and who was it that believed he was a prophet? it was the jews who believed he was a prophet, well most of them. why do u think jesus tells his followers to not deal with the gentiles. because they would do what constantine did. god has not let us down. he sent muhammad with quran. peace
@imreadyyo26 Oh I'm an an idiot, you must not be listening, what they're saying is speculation. Jesus was not only preached in the Byzantine empire. The arabs and east africans, who were not edoctrinated by the byzantines also believed Jesus was the messiah, Jesus is not legit because he went to Europe, the Jews were waiting for a messiah out of Bethlehem well before the Byzantine empire was even thought of, and Jesus fullfills that prophecy. Rather he used it politically is doesn't matter
@3825cortland, now you're being condescending. The truth hurts. Constantine was an EMPIRE as well as a MURDERER, of even his own relatives, Christian like? NO!
The book is called "Constantine, The First Christian Convention of Nicea, 325AD"
Covers how Jesus was to be dealt with (Doctrine), Passover, and the different Canons which make up the New Testament. I always wondered why Christians were so quick to say, "Just go to the New Testament", as if the Old Testament is irrelevent.
@mssquirrely Sister i don't think you understand what i'm saying. I'm not a Christian who gets mad when people don't believe that Christ was legit. But I do have the right to respond, its as if, just because someone makes a claim about the Church, i should just accept it and shut up, theirs so many stories about why Christ is a false doctrine. You honestly can pick one. But the truth is that their were over 50 movements outside of the realms of the Roman Empire
@mssquirrely That in itself would strongly hurt the argument that generally speaking Constantine was the foundation of Christianity as we know it across the globe. What you can say is, the set up and the establishment of the Church as a state religion is attributed to Constantine, or the set up of the relationship between the preacher and an (Autocracy, Monarchy, Aristocracy, or Democracy) type government was attributed to Constantine, but another problem is Pauls letters weren't all in Europe
chek the VIMINACIUM and Serbia-The route of the Roman Emparors, and don't forget Nino Belov-Nimrod,Serbo Makeridov-Asur and Aleksandar Karanovic The Great.CCCC
@TruthBroadcasting He still is a Muslim living in paradise and will descend with the grace of God when the world will be coming to an end... Every prophet from Adam to Muhammad peace be upon all of them were Muslim and they all had one same message from God and that was of Submission to God which is Arabic means Islam and Islam is also a word commonly referred to as Peace. So Islam means both, submission and peace..
Jesus pbuh is a Muslim. meaning the one who only worships one God...
@TruthBroadcasting your faith is admirable but unfortunately history does not bear you out. you were not there to judge constantine's influence on the council nor were you there for jesus supposed miracles (of which there is no roman or any other historical record to concur with christian fables). so all that can really be drawn is the conclusion history has left...selected gospels were destroyed, some tenets elevated and the roman empire became "the holy roman empire"
Jesus pbuh was not god or gods son(how can god have son, sister, mom?) but Jesus pbuh was not just any comon man ether, he could talk when he was baby, rise the dead, heal diseases etc, god said "be" and jessus pbuh was created,
Given that I agree as a Muslim that Jesus pbuh was only a human and a greatly blessed messenger from God and that he was and is and will never be the son of God, I also would like to differ on the notion that he ever died... prophet jesus pbuh is still alive in the heavens and he will descend to save Muslims from Dajal...
Constantine however will serve a sever punishment to associate a partner to God, the only thing Islamic philosophy guarantees that God will never forgive polytheistic sins.
constantine is responsible for what people call christianity today ? he mixed pagan greek philosophy with what was excepted as christianity in his day ,he saw a way of consolidating his rule by using religion,by this time "christianity" had become completely corrupt,so today if you could take a so called christian back to the first century he or she would have no beliefs in common with those primitive christians ?
egyptian pharoes migrated through to europe, and pagan romans malgromated egyptian beliefs into their religion. constantine then malgromated this into early christianity, e.g the egyptian sun god horus also was the lamb of god, also born dec 25th, also resurected after 3days, also the 3kings story, and why you think SUNday is an important day, mere coincidence? no, very well planned corruption
In the year 1404 after Battle of Ankara 1402 Duke Lazar's son Despot Stefan Lazarevic wrote POEM to those who losted their lifes in Battle at Kosovo 1389.
Theodosius II and constantine are wrong . they considered christians outlaws so therefore meaning there was already followers of christ so wouldnt it be wise to quistion these romans motives for organizing the church if christianity was already established and you can tell they wernt followers of christ cuz he allowed pagan traditions in there churches and still to this day ppl are doin so. so ask ur self do u realy follow christ or the ancient roman authoritys
House of Nemanjic rulers of Meadieval Serbia are descendants of Liecinius he is mentioned here in this movie. He was married with Konstantins sister.War break out between them and Konstantin came out as victorian.Liecinius was executed yes and what also yeah by Serbian calendar we live now in 7518 year.Does anyone know why or anyone would like to know why?
Michael Rood has some great stuff on how Constantine influenced Christianity from what it was in the book of acts to what it became later. He has found alot of facts about history. Great source
Dan Brown's book is fictional :| so it really doesnt matter whatever he says since the only true things he mentioned are some people, etc. It doesnt necessarily mean that what they did in the book was right.
The narrator spills so much rubbish! Constantine didn't make christianity the official religion throughout the Empire! That is what Theodosius II did! Constantine only makes it LEGAL and stopped considering christians outlaws! Such amateurs... The old saying "Read the book instead watching the movie" stands!
Did you actually listen to all this video says, or only the beginning? It says exactly what you are saying - Constantine made Christianity legally acceptable. The bit about making it the official religion is a quote from Dan Brown, which is explicitly contradicted later in the video.
My bad man... Haste makes waste... I wrote the comment before the video ended. It's a shame though to begin a explanation with a false statement... could lead to error a lot of people...
he saw the sign so he could create christianity? point is... christianity is here.. and if it was wrong hod would not have let it be for so long, people that look into this litterally is jjust accepting lies of satan
Hey man, who told you so? His mother Helena was from present day Turkey and she was already pregnant when she gave birth to Constantine in Nish. She followed her husband who was on campaign at that time and they stopped at Nish for the winter. After that they moved on at their business... Zelenovic is a pure serbian name and serbs arrived at Nish half a millenium later :))
Do you have a serbian name for Alexander the Great also? I've heard the Fyromians found one... rofl...
It was nothing more or less than a political move to preserve the Roman Empire, so should we call him pope or czar today? ...so if Jesus claimed he was going to destroy the Roman Empire personally and was crucified by the roman empire (never did it) was he talking about upon his return in revelations?? Does that make a future pope the Antichrist??? Is the "city on 7 hills" Rome? Is "Babylon the harlot, which was, is and yet was not" Rome? YES!
Dan Brown has ignorantly lumped all Christians into one system, but true Christians reject Roman Catholicism as a cult, much like atheism, Islam, Hinduism etc...
I predict much of the world will unite behind possibly the next pope creating a one world order/religion/monetary system
The catholic church gave you the bible in the 4th century, sometime after constantine. The canon wasn't even mentioned at Nicena, which goes to show you how bad dan browns book is. Its meant to mislead.
Allah Jalla Jalalo HU (some say GOD) has said in Glorious Quran in verse 5:75:
The Christ, son of Mary, was but an apostle: all [other] apostles? had passed away before him; and his mother was one who never deviated from the truth; and they both ate food [like other mortals]. Behold how clear We make these messages unto them: yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!
at least we can see part of the human history from the Bible. But what would it happen if this never happen. Probably we would be all muslin or maybe pagans still, NOT justice, more wars more slaughters, extinction of races.
I like the world in the way it is today, at least I can understand the other cultures and communicate with them without fight.
This world still not perfect we need more unification, to create the perfect place in the Universe
dont get your history from the bible either. 'king james version'? would you accept a 'bill clinton version'? Jesus was a man who is fighting the same corrupt families that rule today.
@RockyBalboa211 doesnt matter what u think, what are the facts??? what is true, what is not true?? got nothin to do with how you feel.or what you believe.you could believe that a tv is a car, but what is the truth.
They failed to mention that was Baptised by and Arain that belived Jusus and God are separate and distinct beings, God being higher than God. This is true doctrine is true.
@10fingersofdeath nonesense they followed the one true god under israel centuries before constantine, constantine just paganized and twisted christianty.
@nosaj2001 wrong! THEY (meaning the majority of romans) were bound to worship the traditional pagan gods. Christians were on the low and anyway it still was a political move to make it a state religion for rome
@10fingersofdeath A lot of the romans in Jerusalem were Jews who were exiled and brought into that situation because of there wrongs against god, pontius pilot was a jew.Today we have them saying easters jesus death when its ishtar the fertilty god.christmas is the festival of saturalia, the worlds been tricked and freemasons even know these are pagan not christian, the west has never followed the bible properly they have opposed it so nonesense!
@10fingersofdeath Even the museams around the world confirm israel followed one true god during the time of ancient babylon so this is a lie! But people will believe this rubbish.
Then, how come did Christianity have many Pagan rites and traditions in it?Especially Christmas then.Almost everyone knows that Jesus was not born on a winter nor 25th December. Why was his birthday celebrated on 25th December?
many pagan gods before were born on this date...it was just easier when converting people to a new religion to keep traditions of the old ones...a lot of christianity is really paganism, and jesus was more of a ghandi figure which his followers later gave god status by borrowing paganistic beliefs
I heard that Jesus was actually born somewhere between september or october but not in december. I was also reading that december 25 and may have initially been chosen to correspond with either a historical Roman festival or the winter solstice.
And i also heard that the Christmas tree is often explained as a Christianisation of pagan tradition and ritual surrounding the Winter Solstice, which included the use of evergreen boughs, and an adaptation of pagan tree worship..
Nobody knows when Jesus was born, but recently some scientists believe they know the exact date. Dec. 25th was a day picked to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Dan Brown is wrong; Constantine didn't make Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire, he just made it a legal faith. It was Theodosius however, that enforced Christianity (i.e. he made Pagan cults such as Mithraism and Sun-Worship illegal).
this is only partialy true. there were lotsa debate amougst believers as to weather jesus was only man or divine or watever. the council was formed to establish 1 solid belief system to get everyone in line.
Thank you dcouchman for a more level headed bio of Constantine. Dan Browns book is a just poor copy of Lincolns holy blood holy graal which is good for a laugh but hardly scholarship material. We can say that Constantines laws become progressively Christianised as the reign goes on. Also note he does not see a cross in the sky it may have been something but the chi rho of history is a later idea here thought up and not mentioned until 318 as is the dream he has.
yes he was pagan as were his family but he also converted to Christianity. He becomes more and more christian as time goes on and despite some even cruel things to start with he ends up very much the Christian emperor. We must not try to impose modern logic on 4th century lives but maybe we can think that his feet were on pagan rural earth, his head in Christian cloud and his heart somewhere between?
He was baptised on his deathbed. The point is that,if he had converted to Christianity, that should mean being loyal to what the Early Christians believe in.
However,he was the person who introduced certain Pagan traditions into that religion which thus makes it less Abrahamic.
Baptism near deathg was the normal practice of the day and is not surprising at all in historical aspect. The Early Christians were a divided sect and did not actually hold any credo until Constantine. Years of persecution had left the Church bewildered and divided.
He allowed pagans in his court and did not persecute Pagans nor Christians. The Church adopted pagan ceremonies and imagery because it needed to after years of underground terror.
I am unclear what you mean? The early Christians were jews then greeks then others. They did not follow any path as no universal credo existed. It was Constantine and his bishops that brought this into a single concordia. The early Christians certainly did follow/adopt pagan symbols such as the Fish and magic square. Rituals as per the mass and Traditions of the Church clearly show Christianity was fast to adopt pagan ceremony and make them their own as it has since in 2000 years.
What I mean was,the Jews followed the path of Abraham.According to history, there were not a single record that mentions Jesus was the son of god or his death. The Jews believed him to be human.
No the jews followed many leaders. Principle Moses as the Law giver. But at the time of Jesus various competing sects battled for orthodoxy. The Bible and the Gospels make it clear that Jesus claimed to be of a relationship to God Father making him Divine. As I AM this or that he restates equality to the God of Moses. Jesus death is acknowledged in Roman writings as also in Gospels. The apostles etc as jews believed Jesus divine both before (St Peter) and after his Ress.
how do you know what is true or not when disgusting this subject? youre just going to knock the christian denomination but you cant knock the conjecture of a creator so stfu
its called reading history. and i dont know what you mean by christian" denomination?" " conjecture" of a creator? conjecture, what a person thinks or reasons on a topic. listen this is what it is, there was diff ideas on jesus in the early church and if that upsets you then its your prob. but this is why the council was created. to get the story straight and stop infighting amoungst christians. and please be polite when talking.
All religions, when changed into organized institutions cut their roots from their spiritual roots. Religions, once established become politics. That's why historically religions and politcs went always hand by hand. This is the reason why religion (at least in the Western World) is rapidly declining. The deity has been brought down to earth, embodied in an emperor, a ruler, a dictator, a modern politician. Spirituality is an inner, subjective
So he converted because he thought a certain god he had in his mind helped him win a war how typical that always happens religion sucks grow up people.
Ismith1981... dont really know what ur trying to imply.... serbia tried to use religion in the war in kosova to gain western support... it was never a religious war... it was all about territory and expansion.. they conquered it in the early 13th cen. and lost is no long after that..
most albanians are agnostic... we tried all the religions.. from pagan to muslim...except judaism but whatever... and we came to the conclusion that they're all bullshit...
You say Cnstantine was forced to be baptised on his deathbed but was he not the first emperor to be converted to Christian?and if he was forced away from his pagan route why was so willing to allow so much power to the Catholics??Im kinda confused I really don't agree with this video as i have done a lot of research on constantine for college.
@DonnaHassett because he made a religon for his own a religon that will say constantine rome and roman vatikan and greeks insted of nazerah plastine beitlahem aramic arabs the word son of gods ,fallen angels harut and marut whom have sex with the beatiful woman venuse and brought kids and as befor claimed that angels are son of gods and so the angels & venuse kids are half god half human they are worshiped as god .god vanished venuse made her plant her kids came to earth by space ships
@DonnaHassett didnt u know how di the christians were tortured by byzantcs and burned all the aramic bible and cut the tounge of whom talks aramic till maulola scaped throught surya desert and reserved her languege till now the aramic speakn ppl are forbiden to read bible in aramic they gave them arabic bible?orginenos and nastorim alexandria church the alxandria libery that preseve the true aramic bible was burn by byzantic see sea scrols they are the true bibles jesus is yesu massnger not god
@DonnaHassett u know why didnt christianty spread in arabs lands unlike islam ?because the byzntic killed any one whom not follow the paules rules its wasnt named christianty it was nuzerians named for two reson nazerah the city of jesus and anzar allah means gods supporters ,aramic arbs christians died for houner the rest undercover thier selfs under name abrahmic religons ,yesieen ,jacoupians nestorians ,till islam came that time no more killing of christians ,
@DonnaHassett and one thing more do u worship angels isnt it forbiden ?in the son of gods nephelim worshiper they worship angels .do u know whom is the holy spirit ?he was the angel whom massging gods words and comands to prophets he is call so in all religon islam jehudisam abrahimic noeah ,all they follow they transport gods words to ppl throught the support of the holy spirit like in hebrew malach qhdouuss ,rokh qudoos.in islam roh al quduss= holy spirit an angel for god
The angels led him to modern day Istanbul and told him to rebuild the city already there, Byzantium, into a new city, Constantinople, and this city had been the center for the Orthodox church till 1453 when it was conquered by the Turks who renamed it Istanbul. I doubt he ever contacted the Catholic Pope.
(1) Sun = son. Great in English, maybe not so hot in Greek or Latin.
(2) Christians were claiming that Jesus was the Son of God before the end of the first century. They didn't wait for Constantine in the fourth century.
The foreign Middle Eastern religion Christianity and their doctrine which is anti Indo European, does not represent the nomadic Pagan Celts from around the world. The Hill of Taras Royal Grove is asking all Druids from around the world to unite together against the Middle Eastern Christian extremists who wish to bring harm to the citizens of ancient Gaul, which is the Unification of the EU.

I think it's pretty funny that the number of heretics in the world only grew exponentially through time rather than decrease, despite the efforts of the church. But I guess the reason why is pretty simple.

"... without CTG Christianity would have fizzled out as a fringe following with barely any historical remnants to show for it."

ThePowerExcess 6 months ago
@dcouchman Consantine was the one who shaped Christianity into what it is today. Yeah, it was popular, but man did it skyrocket when Constantine conveted. Some favours that Constantine done for Christinity were building gathering places for Christians to worship (one of the most famous ones is the St Peters Basillica in Rome). However, he did change the original view at some of the Synids he ordered. Anyway, thanks for the video

King James (2nd) beast gave life to the 66 books so that they could speak (the bible says) America built on the mark, kills in the name of it, and controls what the world buys and sells. fedism 4 months ago
@bennyfifty Christianity was born by the early church and a salvation, a god who died for everyone's sin,not because of Constantine. that man plus Romans did more harm to the religions ideals than anyone persecuting the followers. the early church is what would be accountable if Jesus is divine (1st century is the early church.) and they do say he is the son of god and the savior of our sins.

xxdiogenescynicxx 2 months ago
@bennyfifty 1. Paganism wasn't so strict against crimes & ofc it wasn't stricter than Christianity. In fact it didn't pay much attention to morality generally.
2. It is not proven under which circumstances Constantine's wife & son died. Besides, assassinations were common in the ancient royal families. Constantine was a man of his age.
3. Constantine didn't give birth to Christianity; Christianity existed for 3 centuries before him & had millions of believers. Constantine simply made it legal.

Their were movements in the Ottoman Empire, Ethiopia, Egypt, all through Arabia, that had no relationship with the East Roman Church, that preached that Jesus was the living word of God. I don't know what else you can say to that, you can only attribute the formation of the Eastern Orthodox Church to Constantine, which essentially at the time was a military regime, not a Church, totally in contrast to the NT, and also the OT is where the messiah was predicted. not the new testament.

imreadyyo26 1 year ago
@imreadyyo26 Oh I'm an an idiot, you must not be listening, what they're saying is speculation. Jesus was not only preached in the Byzantine empire. The arabs and east africans, who were not edoctrinated by the byzantines also believed Jesus was the messiah, Jesus is not legit because he went to Europe, the Jews were waiting for a messiah out of Bethlehem well before the Byzantine empire was even thought of, and Jesus fullfills that prophecy. Rather he used it politically is doesn't matter
3825cortland 1 year ago
@3825cortland, now you're being condescending. The truth hurts. Constantine was an EMPIRE as well as a MURDERER, of even his own relatives, Christian like? NO!
The book is called "Constantine, The First Christian Convention of Nicea, 325AD"
Covers how Jesus was to be dealt with (Doctrine), Passover, and the different Canons which make up the New Testament. I always wondered why Christians were so quick to say, "Just go to the New Testament", as if the Old Testament is irrelevent.

Those who from the start believed in the divinity of Christ and those who would later use him in a political context are not mutually exclusive.
Many, even while he was alive thought him to be the Messiah. He stated it himself. This led to his execution.
Later, with some who didn't believe him to be the Messiah, they decided to act as if they did think this, for political reasons.
So the one group's acts don't invalidate the others and what they believed.
TiminPhoenix 1 year ago
It was nothing more or less than a political move to preserve the Roman Empire, so should we call him pope or czar today? ...so if Jesus claimed he was going to destroy the Roman Empire personally and was crucified by the roman empire (never did it) was he talking about upon his return in revelations?? Does that make a future pope the Antichrist??? Is the "city on 7 hills" Rome? Is "Babylon the harlot, which was, is and yet was not" Rome? YES!

many pagan gods before were born on this date...it was just easier when converting people to a new religion to keep traditions of the old ones...a lot of christianity is really paganism, and jesus was more of a ghandi figure which his followers later gave god status by borrowing paganistic beliefs
shawry86 2 years ago

Dierector189 2 years ago 3
this is only partialy true. there were lotsa debate amougst believers as to weather jesus was only man or divine or watever. the council was formed to establish 1 solid belief system to get everyone in line.

But why must a Pagan emperor unify his empire under Christianity?Afterall,he had collected and burned some gospels in the past.
STARepublic 2 years ago
yes he was pagan as were his family but he also converted to Christianity. He becomes more and more christian as time goes on and despite some even cruel things to start with he ends up very much the Christian emperor. We must not try to impose modern logic on 4th century lives but maybe we can think that his feet were on pagan rural earth, his head in Christian cloud and his heart somewhere between?
KaiseRex42 2 years ago
He was baptised on his deathbed. The point is that,if he had converted to Christianity, that should mean being loyal to what the Early Christians believe in.
However,he was the person who introduced certain Pagan traditions into that religion which thus makes it less Abrahamic.
STARepublic 2 years ago
Baptism near deathg was the normal practice of the day and is not surprising at all in historical aspect. The Early Christians were a divided sect and did not actually hold any credo until Constantine. Years of persecution had left the Church bewildered and divided.
He allowed pagans in his court and did not persecute Pagans nor Christians. The Church adopted pagan ceremonies and imagery because it needed to after years of underground terror.
KaiseRex42 2 years ago
The Early Christians followed the true path. They did not follow certain Pagan rites and rituals unlike the Christians of today.
STARepublic 2 years ago

STARepublic 2 years ago 2
No the jews followed many leaders. Principle Moses as the Law giver. But at the time of Jesus various competing sects battled for orthodoxy. The Bible and the Gospels make it clear that Jesus claimed to be of a relationship to God Father making him Divine. As I AM this or that he restates equality to the God of Moses. Jesus death is acknowledged in Roman writings as also in Gospels. The apostles etc as jews believed Jesus divine both before (St Peter) and after his Ress.

The Jews don't even believe in Christ at all, they claim that the messiah will come later in the future. I learnt it in an RS lesson.
P.S. Im not Jewish, Im Roman Catholic & I have a deep respect for the saviour.

BruceGiron 2 years ago
its called reading history. and i dont know what you mean by christian" denomination?" " conjecture" of a creator? conjecture, what a person thinks or reasons on a topic. listen this is what it is, there was diff ideas on jesus in the early church and if that upsets you then its your prob. but this is why the council was created. to get the story straight and stop infighting amoungst christians. and please be polite when talking.

Spirituality is an inner, subjective
and not an outer, objective experience.

most albanians are agnostic... we tried all the religions.. from pagan to muslim...except judaism but whatever... and we came to the conclusion that they're all bullshit...

Hi -
I don't think we said that Constantine was *forced* to be baptised... I think we said he *was* baptised on his deathbed.
dcouchman 2 years ago
@dcouchman coerced or forced, basically the same thing.

sugerdrops 1 year ago
@DonnaHassett
He was not Catholic, he was Orthodox.
The angels led him to modern day Istanbul and told him to rebuild the city already there, Byzantium, into a new city, Constantinople, and this city had been the center for the Orthodox church till 1453 when it was conquered by the Turks who renamed it Istanbul. I doubt he ever contacted the Catholic Pope.

he fused sun worchiping with christianity to unite his empire and the words son of god actualy mean sun of god as the sun
PROJEK3 2 years ago
(1) Sun = son. Great in English, maybe not so hot in Greek or Latin.
(2) Christians were claiming that Jesus was the Son of God before the end of the first century. They didn't wait for Constantine in the fourth century.
So I don't think what you are saying holds up.
dcouchman 2 years ago
I disagree much of about christians but you are correct by your comments.
There is enough secular sources at the end of the first century and beginning at the second to back up your claims.
I would suggest reading the comments of Plinny the Younger when writing to the emperor at the time about the christians, he encountered.
