    You have to copy the PhoneGapStarter.zip file (the zip file itself, not the content!) to the VS template folder (note that this folder is user dependent): C:\Users\[username]\Documents\­Visual Studio 2010\Templates\ProjectTemplate­s\

    The next time you start VS you should see the new template in the C# project types.
