Hi Gumberly yes I do remember you. Wow Cool. Funny enough I too bought an Xbox 360 as well. I got so tired of maintaining my pc setup just so games can run smooth and work. So I took the plunge and bought a 360, was well worth it.
After spending some money on my Computer a while back, its now up to date, but I am thinking of building another soon maybe a Core i5/Core i7 or AMD 3. Just going to look in the market to see what I can get that will be money worth.
Hey gumberly, sorry to say I dont have TDU on the 360 but I will sure add you on Xbox live.
Also the other thing is my 1 Month gold Membership is over and I havent had time to renew it to 12 month yet, or havent bought the 60 GB hard drive package yet for the 360. When I do I sure will send you a message!
xbox is not running it with high res or full settings I had a 8600gt and i ran it on mid settings low res and than i bought ati hd 4850, I now run it at max no problem ^^
Hi Megadude86, its already known that the 360 and the PS3 render games on Low textures due to its outdated DX 9 GPU which is a let down. But I already knew that before hand. I was getting tired of always maintaining my Custom Gaming PC with Latest parts just so newer games would run perfect. Till one day I said Right thats it and I went out and bought and 360 and bought most of the same games I have on the PC for the 360.
One word!! Smooth game finally but one thing that annoys me is Xbox Live and the fee just to play online is just odd for a gaming console. But then again you cant have everything in this world, Still worth it.
Thinking of getting the PS3 but waiting till GTA IV: Episode from Liberty City is release first on PC and PS3 as I have it for the 360 already.
Hi, your vid is great!:) I'll buy a geforce 7600gs agp 256mb ddr2 vga soon. Do i need more than 16amps on the 12V rail on my psu?? How much amps do you have on your rail 12v rail? And my psu is m-tech 350w. I had an ati hd 2400 pro agp before and it worked fine.
My conf is 2400+ Sempron 1.66Ghz OC-ed to 2.Ghz; 1GB DDR1 ram, and now a shit gforce 4 mx440. When i had my atihd2400 pro i had a celeron 2 ghz oc-ed to 2.8ghz. Will the psu be enough with the AMD config?? Please reply!! Thanks.
Hi Martin255gamer. Well from reading what your pc system specs that psu should run just about fine. But I do recommend that you try to upgrade to atleast 500W+ psu as it will help with future upgrades.
I also recommend that you buy either 8series or 9series or 200series graphics range as it will give you better performance with a good price range! Not too sure about ATI as my last card overheated on its own and just died.
By the way this video was taken on my old pc setup With only a 200W psu! It ran TDU perfectly fine but I found once upgraded to a 600W psu I notices that my graphics card was giving me more performances than before as their was more power!
I would recommend this graphics card but as its no longer in production I would go for an 8 series or 9 series range as these perform much better compare to the 7series graphics cards. Good Luck!
Hi tuna111111111111 if you read the title my friend. It explains what graphics card Im using, also have a look at the description. I explain what overclocks I did on that card. Good luck mate!
i need help. can you please tell me if it is okay to run tdu on my imac. i am going to use bootcamp and run xp. intel core 2 duo @ 2.8 Ghz. ATI Radeon HD 2600 pro. 2 gb of ram. i've been experiencing problems with tdu. i tried it on a macbook pro. i ran vmware in order to run xp. i installed it and it just crashed. it didn't even start. is it because i don't have DirectX 9.0c or what? i just want to know if it will work with the imac.
hi gumberly. As I said before. TDU would not run via Vmware as your emulating and OS within a OS with limited resource. What you can do mate. Is do abit of searching. Im sure you would find out how to dual boot with Imac on 1 partition and XP on another partition.
But thats all I can do. As I dont have a Imac. I cannot give you help on that. Sorry. But I wish you luck.
As for those specs you have there is more than enough to play TDU with medium settings. Just do abit of research on dual booting XP on Imac on google. Im sure you should find a answer!
(remember) you dont want to run TDU via Vmware again, As it will not work!
What you need is Imac OS on its own Partition and XP on its own partition. On the same hard drive. Im pretty sure. They should explain every bit of detail on how to go about installing XP on a Imac!!
yeah i was going to use bootcamp and i think it would of ran just fine! but bootcamp almost screwed up my imac. but here's the thing. i figured out the problem! it says that you need directx 9.0c to run. and i did't have it. and i have ran games on vmware so i think it will work. you don't have to reply because i and asking a lot of questions sorry!
Hi Gumberly. No its alright. I dont mind replying to your question. As for DirectX 9.0 basically what VMware is doing is using its own Software to emulate a Graphics card; so it basically created a virtual graphic card with minimum resource. I really suggest you do some more research on getting Bootcamp to work as this is a better idea to run TDU with no problems what so ever.
But youre saying you ran games before via VMware? Hmm now Im confuse (scratches head??)
lol this is so funny the whole entire page is filled with my comments and you replies haha. yeah i've ran programs with vmware. i would believe you more is it hadn't been for the p4 i tried it on. it did the exact same thing. and that's OBVIOUSLY not running vmware. i thinks it's the directx problem. it says it needs it to run at all!
Yes I know it is pretty funny too. Replying to your question will assist others with the exact same problems who are seeking for answers. So its quite alright responding to your question. Yes Im pretty sure TDU needs DirectX 9.0 files to be installed, as it will help render the graphics and sound and direct input for the TDU for the OS. Hi Gumberly. When I was recording this, I used Fraps to do the recording. I lost some frame rate. But at the end the picture quality is just nice and sharp.

Plz plz answer this question. It says this requires p4 or smb. what about an intel xeon @ 2.66 Ghz???? cause i tried this game on intel core 2 duo and in just crashed after i started.
Hi gumberly. Sorry for the late response. Well Core 2 duo is more than enough to run this game. The crash must of happen due to your graphics card. What is your graphics card? As u havent stated. As for the Intel Xeon. The game should run just fine on Intel Xeon CPU. Since Intel Xeon are mainly for Server use. Gaming on Intel Xeon should be much better from what I have heard.
well here's the deal. the core 2 duo which had ruffly 2.4 ghz was on a macbook pro. i was running tdu via vmware( windows for Macintosh program). could that possibly affect it? anyway my graphics card on the mac is a Geforce 8400m GT. that sound pretty powerful to me. so i don't actually think it's the graphics car...i don't really know WHATS goin on.
Well I see where your problem is. You cant run TDU via VMWARE. It will not run at all. Cause your emulating and OS in an OS but with limited resource. So thats why you cannot run the game. I would suggest you either install Mac boot camp or something like that (sorry not a Mac user) and then install XP with its own partition. As this will be a better option. Then install TDU in XP. And youre good to go. Also your Graphics card will run this game just fine.
thnx. i thought vmware did have some effect. but what is weird is that i ran this on a p4 which had like 3 ghz. really fast! but it did the same exact thing as the macbook pro did. and it is a windows machine. the graphics card is fine too. it's xp...that is weird....SAME EXACT THING!??? but i don't really care. i find a machine soon lol. by the way, do you use vista or xp. i hate vista. xp only good for gaming.

Hi Gumberly. Wow your iMac sounds great. I want one of those, with those same specs. Yeah TDU should run just about fine with ATI Radeon HD 2600. I Must invest in a notebook soon.
Hi Ferrarirazer. Well I would have to say as long as if CPU is at 2.0ghz to 3.0ghz rate. Then you shouldnt have a problem playing games like TDU smooth. As for Graphics card. You should be fine playing TDU with the same settings as I do. 1gb ram will be (ok) but I do think you should get another 1gb to make up 2gb for much better performance.
Hi Empe1999 well your CPU and ram sounds fine. But your graphics card sounds very weak. You will run into problems! Chances are you might be able to run TDU with lowest Graphic's settings to archive Reasonable FPS (frame rate per sec). Good luck. Hope I was help!
AGP was the king. And always will be the king! but Now PCI-E rules the world with its fast bandwidth and low voltage! but yeah 7600gs was a great medium range graphics card! Thanks for commenting SocietyBlog

Hi GarfsiPhoneHelp. i must say i am very sorry if i haven't replied to anyone's question. but for the answer to your question. it should play just fine. those specs sound's very promising!
but do remember this video was taken on my old system. which was old. so from reading your spec's TDU should play just fine!
You can either go like this and Install a fresh Windows XP on to the RAID 0 array? Or if you can't be ask to install Windows XP again, You can use the RAID 0 array as an secondary storage and use your main hard drive for XP. And what you do is uninstall Test Drive Unlimited and reinstall it onto the RAID 0 Array this time instead of C:\
If you want windows XP and games to run a lot faster! This is what you do!
Reinstall XP on the RAID 0 Array and trust me you will never regret it! Its so much faster in loading up and shutting down also in opening programs also running games run a lot faster! Cause the texture for those games can be loaded quicker which then gives you the user faster GAMEPLAY Experience!
Thanks for commenting! this vid was taken on my old setup! also i even stated how i OC the GPU and CPU clocks abit! also I had an RAID 0 setup on that system which boost my data Performance to double! so games like TDU would load the textures faster which would give smooth gameplay! also i was using 2gb as virtual ram from that Array! which help even more!
remember its best to run TDU on sata 150/300 hard drive! trust me! it does help alot!
yep it can Carbon517! To get best performance. Install TDU on and SATA1/2 Hard!
why may ask. With the Sata Bus, It can Transfer twice more data than an ATA100/133 bus could! which means more textures in TDU can be loaded faster. which gives you better gameplay!
Thanks for commenting!!
Also this vid was taken on my old rig!
I'll make another vid to show off my dual core rig soon!!
it doesn't take much power, tdu. thats why i love it. great vid dude

NP my friend. Glad its working alot faster for you!
nice OC too!!
duderor 3 years ago
:D Well I just OC'd my CPU to 2.40GHz, and I'm getting better performance already xD
How caqn I do a RAID 0? I dont know much about hard drives :P
I have 4GB as a page file :P
Sp1r1T93 3 years ago
Oh I see, Well in that case it is best to buy more ram my friend! Which would help a lot.
RAID 0 basically means 2 hard drive working as 1, which gives Double the data performance!
To setup RAID 0 you would need to have 2 of the same Brand, Same Model, Same Spec! Hard drives
Once you got your hard drive ready!
You will need to setup up the raid controller on the motherboard or raid controller card as Striped Array!
After that is done.
duderor 3 years ago
You can either go like this and Install a fresh Windows XP on to the RAID 0 array? Or if you can't be ask to install Windows XP again, You can use the RAID 0 array as an secondary storage and use your main hard drive for XP. And what you do is uninstall Test Drive Unlimited and reinstall it onto the RAID 0 Array this time instead of C:\
If you want windows XP and games to run a lot faster! This is what you do!
duderor 3 years ago
Reinstall XP on the RAID 0 Array and trust me you will never regret it! Its so much faster in loading up and shutting down also in opening programs also running games run a lot faster! Cause the texture for those games can be loaded quicker which then gives you the user faster GAMEPLAY Experience!

If your going to head out to the store and buy 2 Hard drives! Make sure you buy SATA 150/300 Hard drive. NOT ATA100/133 Hard drives!!!!
Good Luck Mate!!
I'm here to help if you come across problems!

Ive got this game. My 7600gs 512mb agp barely runs this, probably coz I have a 2.0GHz processor.
But I dunno how you can run this maxed out with just 700mhz more than me :/

hi Sp1r1T93!
Good luck mate!

yep it can Carbon517! To get best performance. Install TDU on and SATA1/2 Hard!
why may ask. With the Sata Bus, It can Transfer twice more data than an ATA100/133 bus could! which means more textures in TDU can be loaded faster. which gives you better gameplay!

Also this vid was taken on my old rig!
I'll make another vid to show off my dual core rig soon!!
