hey i brought these pads not to long ago and was wondering if you could do a video on the best way to wear them as in doing your straps up i cant seem to close my 5 hole properly like i was able to do with my old pads
@77hazlett I can't do a new video on these since they are being replaced, but if you have the top straps looser, then the five hole should close up a bit.
I want this pads and plan on buying them from your site. I play 3 times a week practicing Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. I have 2 games every other weekend and I travel outside of my state for tournys. I don't want to spend 500 dollars on pads but I want these to last about a year to a year and a half do you think theyll make it?
my 7000s are a year and a half old i can see wear and tear here and there (near the boot of the pad inside roll) my teamate has 7000s as well and he has a huge rip when the pad bends the most at almost a 90 degree angle. I think ima get either brians, vaughn or maybe even bauer pads. but i must say the larceny glove and blocker are really nice. the pads are too old school for me
I'm playing at a high school level we have practices every day from November to February then I have leagues year round should I go with the 9000 or the pro zone
@CannonsLax19 There's definitely a significant difference. Mainly the foam core is stronger in the 9000 pads and the leathers on the 9000 pads are higher quality.
no man, im just going to be playing once or twice a week at the most but is the protection good on the 7000's, meaning im not gonna get hurt with people in jr.a wiring it?
@XxFoxygrandpa39xX Yeah should be fine for a season or two, but not much more than that. If your using them that much, I would suggest getting the Revoke 9000's.
@zcryon hey you should try to use Magic erasers you could find them at grocery stores they look like a white sponge they rub almost all the puck marks and dirt off youre pads. I use them and find that they are the best to use on your pads
The idea of having a get in the zone flap is really good. But for me it scares me where it is. My butterfly is quite wide and sometimes if I try to slide it becomes really narrow and I've been hit in the thigh guard a few times. Hopefully once I become good I can get a decent pair of pads with a get in the zone flap and listen to music. :)
Hey guys, I have a problem with my pads. How hard should I strap my pads? Because my knee always gets out of the pad, and thats really annoying, plz help me :)
Kind of un-related to this video, but this is the most current one i could find, anyways i have a pair of itech Rx-7's and i was wondering if a slide board (physically on the pads) or a pad cover/sleeve would be better.
Does inline hockey make/sell those pad sleeves/covers?
@zcryon I would probably say a cover is ideal. Makes the pads a little cleaner too, so you can sell them down the road. We don't currently have any of those, but we are looking into it.
I just bought a pair and they're great. they were broken in quickly and the difference between these pads and my old ones is night and day, they close up my five hole perfectly, and are very lightweight. Would buy again.
@xxxMoggexxx41 You should probably go for anywhere between 33-34 + 1, i have the 33+1 and im the same height as u and the fit perfectly, s i would suggest 34+1 if u want growing room. it also depends how long the legs are and if ur knee is exactly in the middle of ur leg.
@xxxMoggexxx41 Based strictly on your height, a rough estimate would be a 32" pad, but use this equation to get a little bit better idea. Ankle to Knee measurement (ball of ankle to the center of the knee) + Skate Size + Desired Thigh Rise (typically about halfway up your thigh) = Pad Size
@natephishy I would probably go with a 34" pad, but use this equation to get a better idea: Ankle-to-Knee measurement (ball of your ankle to the center of your knee) + Desired Thigh Rise (about half way up your thigh) + Skate Size = Pad Size. Let me know if you need anything else.
@Avalanche8855 I prefer the 7K pads. They are a bit stiffer and more like a traditional butterfly pad. I personally think the Revoke's are a little soft for a butterfly pad.
so for a goalie that plays 2-3 times a week for my house team, would these pads work? i mean its all i can afford but i hear that there almost as good as the 9000 s. would you agree or are the 9000 s better? for 2-3 times a week.
@pie29302930 These would work fine for you. The 9000s just use higher grade leather and a more advanced foam core so they would last longer. The 7000s are a great value.
@icehockeywarehouse playing 2-4 times a week, is it possible to ballpark how long they'll last? i'm in the same boat as Pie. the budget just won't allow the 9000's
@BurningBerlin It is really hard to say. If I had to estimate, I would say you should get at least a year out of them. The 9000's would definitely remain strong and provide solid protection for longer.
@pie29302930 i have the rbk revokes pro and i love them. just everything about them are great. the 7000s would be good if ur only looking to use them for 1 year, 2 year max. they wear out really quickly if u use them often

@icehockeywarehouse Also what's better the One60's or the 7000s? Thanks for the answer!
KeybladeMaster035 1 month ago
@KeybladeMaster035 I like the One60's myself because I tend to prefer a stiffer pad. The 7000's are a bit softer and a little heavier.
