Surely you have pictures of you at the same weight, when you first started working,obviously it didnt bother them, when they hired you. Let that serve. I used to work as bagcrew for Delta. I know they all do things(6 mos after I had my baby, he winded up in hosp w/phemn. They fired me after 2nd time in hosp, but i was only parent around).fight it all the way, get an apt, suck it up, and fight to get house back (or one like it).

In my opinion,NorthwestAirlines should take the blame. First of all, how much did U weigh when NorthwestAirlines hired U to be a baggage handler? Second, obviously in Northwest's eyes, U were fit to do the job at whatever weight U were, up until the"doctor"said your excess weight contributed to your injury. Third, were U allowed at least a second opinion from another doctor who may not have been being PAID by Northwest? Fourth,did the airline fire ALL overweight employees after the weight issue?

Sorry for you losing your house however times are hard for many many people.

Renting is the smartest thing to do right now anyway so losing your home mite be a good thing after all...

This economy is no where near a recovery.

Hang in there. BTW, based on your pic you're hefty but not fat. I agree with another poster. Have your attorney demand the bank produce your mortgage. If they can't, foreclosure proceedings will stop. I have always believed in personal responsibility until the past 10 years when large banks and corporations get HUGE chunks of money for their negligent management, but average people are branded. Look into a deed in lieu of foreclosure, and just walk, if they wont' work with you. Keep your chin up

Maybe a lawyer will step up. Anyone know a Minnesota Lawyer. A case like this could be great PR, enough that the Lawyer might do it pro-bono Its a sad story and NWA should be held accountable. Sad story right before Christmas.

The Dr. that said you were hurt because you were fat was a DR who is bought and owned by the WC Ins co who will say whatever his owners want him to say. Couple years ago, we went thru this, and the IME even went as far as saying my spouse was FAKING being DEAF! He has to wear 2 hearing aids and read lips to even have a conversation! EXCUSE ME! You are not losing your home because you're fat! You are losing your home because CORPORATIONS use dirty tricks to get out of having to do the right thing. Trader Joe's did the same thing to me. Only they could not use fat because I'm skinny so they used an old back injury of mine was to blame for the new injury I received while trying to keep a frozen load from crashing down on little children who were playing and running around in the store.

I'm now disabled.

The factory "management" of a very well-known brand of potato chip tried to pin one of their female employee's injuries on something that may have happened to her at BIRTH!!! Some of the stories my family member comes home with about that place are UNBELIEVABLE. Plus, they have a nurse on the payroll who is supposed to initially treat and evaluate employees' on the job injuries. Then if further care is needed, they want you to go to THEIR doctor. The little guy keeps getting screwed.

Damn, I knew there was a good reason not to fly Northwest. Sucks that our society has prejudices against those of us who fall outside the "norm". Especially, when the majority of americans are considered to be overweight.
