Interesting. I know fans of the original are complaining about how they changed the game in the remake, but let me just say: There's a difference between being a retro fan and a whiny bitch. So what if they changed some things? The voice acting in the PSX version was horrible, but it was direct translation. The original dub was so bad, it was up there with the PSX Resident Evil games! And I'm glad they uesed the original names, which they couldn't at first due to biblical references. SO2.0, FTW.

The voice actors for the Ten Wise Men do seem to chew the scenery a little.

Otherwise, I really like the remake. I know a lot of people are all "THEY CHANGED IT NOW IT SUCKS!" but...*shrugs*

Both versions have merits in my opinion.

this battle system is one of the first real time ones i belive the first verion of this came out a year or two after psx came out. as for the game your talking about. i got no clue what it is.... *frowns* sounds cool.

hmmm....i like PRECIS a lot than BOWMAN because you can get that big robbie in PRECIS.What it does is calls her robot and fires a lot of beams

LOL you dont have Cluade's Aterna Sword? oh man its his best weapon i got it after the linga sanctuary it helps alot since i play on univurce mode

You're right, I don't have it. Want to know why? It makes the game too easy. Even without the Aeterna a lot of the bosses I fought were easy.

HIT is more important in Universe mode. What good is the aeterna if it's blocked by most of the enemies? You do NOT want to be blocked against the 10 wise men

Hmm i suppose but i merely meant it sounds awkward cause i grew up with the English names lol. I beat the game for the fist time when i was 7 or 8 and i saw my bros beat it multiple times before that.

@HeimdaIlr Well the problem with new versions of older games is that the new versions often suck up to the Japanese script too much - everything is suddenly translated exactly the way it was in the Japanese version.

That's a bad idea, because different languages have different feel - just because a character says something in a certain way in Japanese it doesn't mean it will sound good in English.

And why did they absolutely have to change Mars into "Marze"?

Because the Japanese script said so?

Imo Poison Pill is the most underrated move on this game. Me and a friend played this on PS1 at release I had chosen to get Ashton and my friend had picked up Bowman. Bowman destroys Ashton in the DPS.
