To clear up the confusion, some of the Hills is fake and some of the Hills is spot-on real. For example, Lauren and Heidi and their friendship being over, that was real. Basically the concept of the Hills was all real. There are just A FEW things in it that aren't real such as when Spencer called to Lauren apologizing, the episode before the wedding. That was staged just so that it could get more viewers. Nonetheless, the story and reactions in the Hills was real.

in case noone has heard about it, on interview during the aftershow Brody said there was supposed to be an alternate ending..where this ending scene as shown was supposed to happened and Brody would go back to his condo only to find Lauren sitting on the couch asking where he has been. Don't believe the hills cast they be lying if you look at some of their old interviews they say how fake it is. Also, Kristin was suppose to write a tell all book on the hills! And Lo said the relationships werent fake but were pushed a lil. Don't get me wrong Laguna beach prolly was a lil real!! I think some stuff was real and some was fake.
