Opening shot is beautiful, but my favorite is at 1:10, with the beauty, the rose and magic.
Some of her movies are great, some disappoint, and usually it's not because of her acting. She does very good job. The problem usually is the script. "Malena" is one of those movies which disappointed me. They didn't really give her much room to act there, and the movie focuses on some mediocre actor-kid who masturbates for half of the time.
Go watch the movie "Irréversible" Tremor. You'll have your bite.
I think I saw most of her movies. Guess what; upcoming is "The Whistleblower". I'm not sure, but I heard it was about some dirty conspiracy at the United Nations. Another hoax...? LOL
Well, some years ago I 'met' her at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. I'm ashamed to say I didn't recognize her instantly. But I saw it was a VIP because of two security guys and some photographers walking with her. After I collected a little courage I said 'hello Monica' and she only smiled. That was all... Wow... what a lady...
