Well, an appropriate response would be, "Je suis enthousiaste.", which, in an essence, means the same thing as "I am excited". However, if you were to use "Je suis excité" in France, one would assume you are turned on.

If you'd never spoken a language before, had no training in the correct inflections and then got given a word or line to pronounce in that language, you'd probably screw it up too.

My husband began learning english at age 9 (older than when Emma began) and his pronunciation in his mothertongue isn't great anymore either - and he has continued speaking it (his parents still speak it at home) whereas it seems Emma stopped speaking French. So I don't really think it's that surprising if her French pronunciation is crap now :P

This isn't amazing at all lol. I actually speak Japanese and Spanish, and I know what Hindi, Korean and Chinese sound like. It's easy to know one phrase in multiple languages, try it out! Not trying to be cocky or anything, but it seems like she is doing something amazing. Her pronunciation is funny :D
