that guinevere tuning - the 2nd string is a real strain on the guitar neck. crosby asked martin guitars to build him a reinforced neck 12 string and they declined saying his tuning could cause catastrophic neck failure and perhaps injury.

I would like you to tune slower so I could watch ..once you get the guitar in this tuning the song just jumps off the strings.

Yes the tuning for "Lady of the Island" is Eb, just drop down from standard tuning 1/2 step on each string (Eb, Bb, Gb, Db, Ab, Eb).

Sorry I don't know how to play that one. When I have time, perhaps I can figure it out.  It's in open Eb tuning I think.

Nice job! At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I've asked you in the past if you could do Nash's Lady of the Island. I think it's in an altenate tuning, but don't which one. If you don't feel like doing a tutorial on it, could you please tell me what the tuning is? Thanks for all your CSN lessons!

Nice tutorial, thanks! This is not a song that has been covered on youtube much. It is such a pretty song. I love that "album"... It is definately one of those albums you want on a deserted island if you could only pick 10..
