  • Fairly seriously misrepresented the issues here.

  • How is it so hard to understand that it isnt illegal for kids to pray in school. Its illegal for the school to lead children in prayer as it establishes one religon over another. No one is stopping children from praying on their own. You want your kids to learn about Christianity in school? Have them take a theology class or send them to a religous school. Public schools are not the place to be indoctrinating children into your cult.

  • @Beefhead The Truth is available for you too! Shame you are too angry and biased to find it.

  • author.

  • I don't want to be rude, but there are countless people commenting on this for him to quite putting down other religions. Then in the same sentence they go on to say 'God doesn't exist get over it' Isn't that putting down our religion? And this 'lack of proof' I see everyone talking about. Its called faith, Can you see a million dollars? No. Can you feel a million dollars? No. Same concept almost, but much more deep. If you aren't christian, don't watch a christian video and bash the a

  • Whoever wrote this must have been praying, instead of paying attention, in english class.

  • @pboisei

lol, ok, ok. what did is spell wrong. And yes I did struggle in English class. Not cause I was praying (wish I was) but I was smoking dope at that time. Thank God He totally set me free from my drugs and alcohol addiction over 20 years ago now. But yeah, where was the mistake

    Thanks,

  • LAME.

  • @RazonSuprema

Hmmm.... check the stats. In the 50s the biggest problems in schools were chewing gum and running in the hall. Now we have police, security, metal detectors, child care for the fatherless teen students. Suicides, shootings stabbings, the list goes on. Why do you think these changes have taken place?

  • @kingdmculture Lax discipline. It's time to bring back spanking and having young kids call adults "Sir" or "Ma'am." I'm not talking about harming or bruising the child. I'm saying that when a very young child becomes disrespectful, the 'time outs' and crap like that doesn't work. You need to spank them (open-handed) in the back of the thigh. The idea is mostly to STARTLE them into discipline, not causing physical harm. THAT's why things are getting worse. LACK OF DISCIPLINE.

  • @RazonSuprema Incorrect. Things are not getting worse because of 'lack of discipline.' Things are bad, and getting worse, because parents do not spend anywhere near enough time with their children. Children are not being properly socialized; this does not require punishment (although I'm not one of those folks opposed to appropriate punishment), it's simply a case of the only socialization children receive, by and large, is at the hands of television and video games, rather than parents.

  • @RazonSuprema There are many reasons for this; not least among them is the fact that at the moment it is ludicrously difficult for people to be able to do so on the middle and lower end of the economic spectrum - when people are having to work two full-time jobs just to keep their head above water. It's pure laziness in the case of people who do not have to do that, and a terribly sick society in the case of people who do have to.

  • @kingdmculture I'm sure it's because we've stopped reading a book that advocates, murder, genocide, slavery, and misogyny!

  • @kingdmculture a correlation does not a cause make (especially a LAME correlation (and since you had trouble in English: "lame" (in this context): weak; inadequate; unsatisfactory; clumsy)).

  • the first amendment says there is to be no law made respecting religion.for example:its unconstitutional to ban gay marriage because a religion believes its a sin.marriage is a cerimony and all have the right to believe in the bible or not and to interpret it in their own way.but it is also unconstitutional to ban prayer in school.manditory prayer is uncontitutional because everyone has the right to not believe but if you believe then the first amendment protects your right to express that.

  • @T00LIZATION Incorrect in your interpretation; it is not only constitutional to ban prayer in school, it is unconstitutional to HAVE organized prayer in school. Schools are a public institution, and public institutions were designed to be completely free from any of the trappings of religion; the USA was created on, among many other things, the idea that religion is a private matter and should remain private. Whatever one's faith, or lack thereof, it has no place in any publicly run venture

  • Sorry but god dosent exist........its sad that some people still believe in him huh?

  • God does not exist, get over it...

  • @SwarM713 Oh yeah.... you must have all kinds of scientific proof for that. No really give any proof. Any!

Yeah, order, design, information, codes, expression totally come from nothing.. we see and observe that everyday. Bwwaahaahaa!! Aaaa.. NOT! You live in a very small fantasy buble that needs to be burst to believe what you do. But really give your proof there is no God cause you look foolish taking that position.

  • @kingdmculture Are you for real ? So you tell me you believe that there is so big invisible dude up in the skys, that gets avoided by airplanes and such, and that guy is looking after us and protecting us every second, of every minute, of every hour,of every day, month, year and so on.. and yet there are diseases, wars, femine. And that guy has a list of 10 rules, that if you break he'll send you to this place he created called "Hell" ,where you'll be tortured for the rest of the eternity, buh he lovesu

  • @kingdmculture And also there's as much proof of the existence of god,as much there is in the existence of aliens, but if you tell someone ,that in your dream you've seen them, felt them, touched them most people will think that there's something wrong whit you, while the truth is pretty simple - 90% of the people who are religious are mentally challenged,or brain-washed to believe in that crap, the truth is ,that the religion was made up by people, back in the medieval times just to control peasants

  • @SwarM713 I had a feeling you would not give any proof. Why not, please back up your original unsolicited claim that "God does not exist" Why did you say it if you cannot back it up? If you can give any proof then we can move on. If not then you are not very rational are you. Forget about my faith. You are the one wanting me to believe what you say. Please give any proof dude or keep silent.

  • @kingdmculture Evolution theory, natural selection,Big Bang, all of those are backed up with evidence what's your proof ? All of your arguments are "you can't prove he doesn't exist,so he exists.." which is just lame.

  • @kingdmculture Only the person that is making the affirmative claim (in this case "god exists") needs to provide evidence for the claim. The position of unbelief is a default position that requires no proof. How can you prove that unicorns and magic faeries don't exist? You can't. But it IS logical and sensible to hold the position that we cannot believe in such things UNTIL there's some evidence that they exist. The same concept applies to all gods, including yours.

  • @kingdmculture You should research burden of proof. We (sane people) don't have to debunk every ludicrous claim put forth with zero evidence. If you want your belief to be taken seriously, show us evidence.

  • Hmmm.. my "daft" ideas. Is this just your arbitrary assertion about my beliefs in Jesus, the Bible and the supernatural or do you have actual verifiable reasons to refer to Christianity as such?

  • Fairs fair. There's no believers in other gods ramming their silly superstitions down YOUR throat, in a public place either. All you have to do is keep your daft ideas to yourself, if you really need them. Other people don't want them!

  • Thank you, FHomeBrew! I wonder why christians can't figure out their own bible well enough to see the obvious? Jesus said don't pray out loud, so why would a christian legislate otherwise?

  • The funny thing is: the bible doesn't approve of public prayer in the first place (mathew 6:5-6). We should be thankful for laws banning public prayer. Remember Rick Perry announcing the prayer to stop drought in Texas? It was answered with more drought. God was not pleased apparently.

School led prayer is banned, not prayer in general. You should still be allowed to pray in school, the school just can't ask you that you do so.

  • Public versus private interests... This is the issue in the backdrop... To what degree (if any) should any single group's interest by state sponsored/supported. Religion is the messiest of these points of disconnect, since, at least to my knowledge, all religions are simply claims/beliefs without support beyond the claims/belief. Granted the adherent don't feel that way, but all of the people who are not part of that group in varying degrees do...

  • @MyContext So, is religion supportable in the public sphere... It seems the answer is no. Should be people be allowed to practice their faith...yes...to the extent that it does NOT force others to except dictates on the basis of any given faith. This is not to dismiss other social issues and concerns.

How people look is really not an issue, unless, one assumes that people should look a certain way...

  • @MyContext Error...regarding 'except' which should have to accept... Typo...sorry...

  • I didn't think Canadians went to school.....

  • @odinata Lol!! Nice. Yes, unfortunately we too have a government run school system that is sadly dominated by the religion of secular humanism and all the baggage that comes with that. Kids are more confused than ever about the meaning of life.

PS You need to get 'out' more. Lol!! Take care. :D

  • @kingdmculture

So your solution is what? Force your religious opinions on the kids?

  • @kingdmculture

Perhaps you just want more access to children--they might buy your Jehovah's Witness propaganda....

  • @kingdmculture Humanism is a philosophy, not a religion. Humanism is secular by nature because it respects all people regardless of religion or lack of religion. Religions and even Christianity in particular are allowed to be practiced by students in their schools when it is of their own volition. Religions (again even Christianity) and non-belief are allowable in topics in schools so long as no faculty promotes any one view as true over any others, thus remaining nonjudgmental of students. TBC

  • @jjmblue7 (Cont.) Yes, this does mean that teachers can't share their particular religious views, because that would be displaying their particular choice of religion or lack of religion to be what he/she considers to be at least most likely correct. Religions can be taught as part of a social studies curriculum, so long as it remains this group generally believes A, B, and C. It cannot be taught as if it is to be believed by students. TBC...

  • @jjmblue7 Unless in a religious private school, no student can be required to engage in religious activity nor be required to attend a class about a particular religion. There can also be no religiously-based activity (Christian or otherwise) led by the public school, nor can the public school lead anything practicing skepticism of religion. What a public school can lead, however is a program/activity dedicated to tolerance and understanding of different religious and nonreligious world views.

  • You think that secular humanism is neutral? It is a believe sytem too based on faith opinion and assumption. They will teach one morality or another. Darwin's or the Bibles. So you don't want 'religion' running things. OK for the sake of argument. If you are an atheist. According to your world view what would be wrong with anyone seeking to take over and run society?

  • @kingdmculture Please, enlighten me. What is "Darwin's morality" and how do secular humanists follow it? It's hilarious when people talk shit about humanism. The point of it is literally just to increase prosperity among all people and reduce suffering. You're literally a piece of shit human being if you oppose those goals.

  • We all know what happens when religion runs a society, human rights go by the wayside and the society becomes oppressive. It happens without fail, no matter what religion is in charge. Separation of church and state is important. We don't need fundies burning witches.

  • I'm not sure if this is about Canada , I'm not a Christian, but I agree Christians should be allowed to pray in US public schools, however, the school should not endorse any religion or teach one as fact and has the right to distribute birth control for the non-Christian and secular students, noone is forcing Christians to take a condom.

  • @lov32s331t That's a big amen to that!!

    Thanks for the encouragement.

    God bless!!

  • Hey. Thanks for posting. What would happen if; His people, who are called by His name, would humble themselves and pray, and seek His face and turn from their wicked ways? Would God really answer? He said; That He WOULD hear from heaven and HE said that He WOULD heal our land!! Hmmmm... His rep. depends on this.

I say let's do it and watch God work!!!

  • Cool video, very well done yet sadly so true as well. God help us now!!

  • Great video and points!

  • I take offense to the idea that people with piercings and dyed hair are freaks: Christians do that very same thing - ie, moi...

  • @aveyowyns Hmmm... it actually did not call those who dye their hair 'freaks' 1:02 or even those with piercings though many who pierce do look kind of freaky. And if that offends you I am sorry but, oh well. It said; we're allowed to cuss and dress 'like' freaks. Definition: •a person or animal that is markedly UNUSUAL or deformed. 'OK unusual'. Really what it is saying is that these forms of expression are accepted in the public square and public schools but not Christian Prayer. Why not?
