  • very lovely song....

  • ....

  • who the F*** disliked this video

  • Is this the Latin Jazz artist? as in Mas Que Nada?

  • @sewdavicious That is correct. If he is still touring......amazing in concert!!!

  • lip sync out the ass. but still love it

  • Hard to believe that Leza Miller's voice is lower than Joe Pizzulo's. LOL! Billboard's #16 hit of '83. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a blessed new year!

  • this is not the complete version

  • OK, I am old school. This is/was a pivotal song if you drew a breath in that era.

  • UMA COISA BOA É QUE ELE É BRASILEIRO

A GOOD THING IS THAT HE IS BRAZILIAN

  • UMA COISA BOA É QUE ELE É BRASILEIRO

ONE AMAZING THING. HE IS BRAZILIAN

  • oh man i remember hearing this on the radio when i was a toddler in the 80s... brings back soft rock memories

  • This isn't the song I was looking for, but it's still a good find.

  • I really really love this song...this will live forever in our hearts....

  • Like if you're here because of Roger from American Dad

  • Sing me to sleep Roger!

  • Shia LeBeouf!!! HILARIOUS jrichman21! ! ! ! I totally see it! ! ! ! With huge chop sideburns.

  • This is one of those songs I heard in the early 80's when I was a kid that makes me extremely sentimental. Now, I am proud to sing this song on karaoke with my girlfriend.

  • i love this song..

  • Wow, Shia LaBeouf has a great voice.

  • During 1983 and 1984, I had the pleasure & the honor of becoming close personal friends with Leza Miller in Hollywood Calif., . We spent countless hours alone together during that 2-year period either at her place (near Venice Beach) or at my place atop the hollywood Hills. She used to sing this song to me when we were alone.... and when I look back at some of the other incredible things (and some of the crazier things) we shared together, I still find it almost too beautiful to comprehend.

  • @BeHappy2day WOW..what a memorable time.. do you still in touch with each others?

  • time flies, I was in college and broken heart ! xoxxoox thanks for posting!

  • Timeless clasic!!!! Will live on forever!! Beautiful song!!!

  • I forgot this song was on Solid Gold! Thisbrings back so many memories of my first infatuation with a guy! Hmmm. Good times!

  • One of the best ballads i've ever hear! I remember seeing this episode when i was kid and being blown away that it wasn't black people singin lol!

  • This song makes me cry =(

  • Wow , love that song, thanks for the video

  • Sounds LIVE which is even more rare for Solid Gold :) loved the show though.

  • hermosa melodia de alguien arrepentido que solo clama el perdon de ese amor que se escapa de las manos por un rato de placer, bien por el video

  • Comment removed

  • Definitely one of the all time greats from that era!!!!!!

  • I'm never gonna let you go my love. i hope you do the same thing for me too :)

  • "I'm gonna hold you in my arms forever" I'll tell that to my future girl friend ;)

  • I really love this song! my favorite its timeless thanks!

  • Kind of awkward that the two singers have to look meaningfully at each other while the other one is lip-synching.

  • Hey where's the Solid Gold dancers? I always wanted to be one when I grew up...lol

  • who's the drummer on this video?

  • LOVE THE 80'S !!!!!! I'M GOING TO PLAY THIS SONG IN MY CAR TODAY !!! OH YEAH!!!

  • Grew up in the EXCELLENT (sadly over) 80s ie best musical decade of all time and somewhat this song escaped my ears.

  • @amazingdany - I remember this song, reminds me of cruising down the street in my 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix while in high school. I'm bummed the 80's are over too. It was a good time to be a teen and young adult.

  • Solid Gold, my goodness. Does that bring back memories. So, does this beautiful song. :D

  • loved this song but man he looks really high on this video..lol

  • I'm never gonna let you go.

Gonna hold you in my arms forever.

THIS TIME U CAN BE SURE .....

I'm never gonna let you go ....

  • The best love song of the 80s, made by a Brazilian.

    Sergio Mendes on keyboards.

  • @Andregsan31 I agree

  • @Andregsan31 nunca sabia que Sergio Mendes es un Brasileño!

  • @Spanishfutbol2010

  • @Andregsan31, also, there are many many great songs that were hits worldwide and you perhaps love them as well, composed by Brazilians like: (keyword) [ feelings ] also check out this one (copy and paste on the search bar this: Fabio junior sem limites pra sonhar ) a great love song composed and sang by Fabio Jr. and Bonnie Tyler. Enjoy.

  • number 1 favorite..

  • Are they really singing this? If not, that is the best lip sync ever...

  • Absolutely beautiful - thank you corazonazul (what does that name mean) I don't know any other languages sorry. Thanks for uploading. Miss old music like this, wish they would play more songs like this throughout the day; it would help people work faster at work cause their days would go by faster if they're enjoying the music.

  • i know there always has to be someone who comments on the dislikes, but seriously, i do wonder! those 6 people, what are they disliking?? must be trolls born in the 90s..

  • I DON't CARE IF THIS IS OLD.. I LIKE IT...

    A TRUE 80's MUSIC TREASURE....

  • ....i was 9 and she was 8. we stayed together and now we're married. 20years

  • Why a Brazilian to compose one of the most beautiful songs ever written in English? talent and the musicality spirit of these people that few Americans fail recognize or even sometimes ignore?

  • @ 00:05 Was that Rex Smith?

  • @BedShaker0909 Hello Anthony Ochoa here(BolsaChicaRadio) the one who sent "corazonazultw" this clip in the mail! YES! The co-host with Marilyn McCoo is REX SMITH, indeed!

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sergio is brilliant!

  • the beards in this vid look very odd >> almost as if they slapped paint on their faces with a paint brush : >

  • the chick in this vid is as sweet as Grannys apple pie >> with ice cream =)

  • i always thought a brown skinned man sang this : O Amazing tune =)

  • wow and I thought Jeff Ross did those roasts

  • I'm so sorry that I let some precious women in my life go, because I was young and immature---especially those precious women from Suny New Paltz, from 1981 to 1984! I'll love you all forever, and not a day goes by, that my mind doesn't drift back to the past, and the greatest years of my life! I'm glad that the good Lord does fill the void, though!Amen! Peace to all, BobbyK

  • love songs are forever............

  • so beautiful and romantic the ultimate love song of the 80s.songs like this one are priceless

  • BASS PLAYER IS INTO IT ALOT

  • Just a great song and a great performance!!!!!

  • pra que fazer comentarios a musica ja diz tudo

  • Thanks for the video :) !

  • i don't think its lip-synced.. not only do the mouths + voice + high/low notes are at the same time... but u can hear when they sing the duet her voice rises in and out above his... BUT.. i think the end might be where the skeptics have an arguement..

  • @pkzuras Hello! Anthony Ochoa here (bolsachicaradio) the person who sent this video to "corazonazultw"! Yes indeed, this was lip-synced to a recorded track being played through the soundstage's amplification system. JOE & LEZA (and the musicians!) are doing an EXCELLENT JOB in syncing perfectly! You are correct in your suggestion that their lips are right on time! SOLID GOLD rarely, if ever, let acts "perform live"; most were done to a synchronized pre-recorded audio track.

  • muito linda canção , infelizmente a momentos que nao se esquecem na nossa vida.

  • Whoa!!!!!!!! Joe Pizzulo rocks

1 My favorite best baladeer for all time! Love his voice..............

  • veio um dos melhores duetos q ja ouvi dos anos 80, joe pizzulo arrebenta, a banda do Sergio mendes mentirosa, a musica muda de tonalidade umas 4x... só joe pizzulo mesmo

  • great song

  • A classic and so well sung. Love it.

  • Certified classic . .

  • Leza Miller, was Motown's Little Lisa in the 60's

  • This was originally recorded by Dionne Warwick.

  • Isn't it funny how Sergio Mendes sticks himself in the middle of the two lead singers as it people want to see the keyboard player? LOL!! Even though he wrote the song, he looks so out of place during the performance. I guess he wanted his 3minutes of fame on "Solid Gold'.

  • NUNCA TE VOY A DEJAR IR AH LOS 80S

  • My favorite love song in the universe!

  • How bout' this version of the song is missing the female verse. Growing up in the 80's, I remember her having a verse right after his before the instrumentals.

  • @2710Pocahontas It's missing a 2 Full Female Verse! the one that i liked the most: ********* Looking back now it seems so clear I had it all when you were here Oh, you gave it all and I took it for granted But if there's some feeling left in you Some flicker of love that still shines through Let's talk it out Let's talk about second chances Wait and see It's gonna be sweeter than it was before I gave some then but now I intend To dedicate myself to giving more This time you can be sure ******
  • @rdwebmister Thanks for giving me what I had needed! I thought that I was hallucinating. That verse was my favorite also! Do you actually remember this performance on 'Solid Gold"? I do. I am 39years old and I remember it like it was yesterday.

  • @2710Pocahontas I remeber watching this performance my self. That was long time ago..

  • @rdwebmister - beautiful words, aren't they? Makes anybody's heart just melt and forgive the person! After hearing this song, I might just forgive my lady friend who moved away because she wanted to get away from me so bad. She lives in another city now, pretty far away and I feel I drove her to move away, I feel bad.. Might send her this song and ask for her forgiveness for pushing her away like that, wasn't fair..

  • @mistylatteable yes beautiful words indeed, perhaps I can forgive the asian douchebag that left a steaming turd on my car hood

  • @rdwebmister You are SO correct, SOLID GOLD did do an "edit" in this song, the 2nd verse & 2nd chorus. SOLID GOLD would do this from time to time, HOWEVER, usually only during their "Flashback" segments, ie, when the song was first presented on SOLID GOLD, usually the "full cut" is used, then sometimes, weeks later, SOLID GOLD would do a repeat of that song and it's that repeat that get's hacked into and edited. So, perhaps, this video capture was done during this song's 2nd run on SOLID GOLD.

  • RICKROLL????

  • George Benson - Nothing gona change my love for you. Seems to be in the same stile...=)

  • This song definately screams 80's!! (my times)

  • @Balerina3 In fact, many of these ballads scream '80s more than those uptempo synthpop songs that seem to be more popular among the comback crowd as these don't seem to get quite as much exposure/association compared to the faster songs and many make me cry about the '80s because it shows me how singers could really sing and not every song was mid- or uptempo! When was the last time you heard a ballad on Top 40 radio?

  • great voice of joe pizzulo

  • thanks for its a beautiful song

  • wow!

  • so cool

  • i love this song so much

  • the male host is rex smith.

  • Que gran cancion, un exito inolvidable...

    Big song one song unforgattable

  • what is the names of the singers?

  • old songs are nice than crap songs...

  • why Sergio Mendes is the singer in the title...Clearly he is not singing the song.

  • Sergio Mendes wrote this song in 1982.

Two years later he was invited to write the USA Olympiad's theme.

  • When I hear this song it remind me of the 80s when singers could actually sing nice songs

  • I was young in the 70s/80s. Had never heard this song before until I heard it on a youtube video of 10 cutest cats. This is a wonderful song, brings the 80s back.

  • @smartieslife so true! these days anyone can sing and they sing so bad

  • Wow, I haven't cried on first hearing in a very long time. wow. mindblowing.

  • i've been searching this song for so long,at last i saw it,thanks for uploading.

  • TTUGrad2004 ..si es una mala palabra pero aqui en chile tambien se usa para decir algo Grande e increíble ... "Puta k es lindo este tema" .. ...jajaj ok

  • I was 7 years old at the time too. My oh my.... Solid Gold. What a show and some of the best years of my life. I ABSOLUTELY love this song. I used to get it confused with "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You" by Glenn Medeiros. I guess cuz of the name of the song. Who knows...

  • @honeydew369 Was this song released in late 1982? If so, then I was 7 years old myself. I use to confuse the intro of this song to another great tune in the early 80s, and that's Christopher Cross' "Arthur's Theme (The Best That You Can Do)". As I got older, I also realized this song would change key notes so suddenly. Nevertheless, this is still a great song.

  • One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my entire life.

  • ¡¡¡¡PUTA K LINDO TEMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

  • @forisneiker Isn't puta a bad word in spanish?

  • Love this song. I was surprised when this came out though. Sergio changed from his usual two women singer he was so famous for. Song turned out great anyway.

  • este si es un pedaso de video romantico

  • My all time favorite song even though I was 7 years old when it came out.

  • I lost my only love. I was stupid, anxious and carless. This dedicated to u K

  • @kamalskii Ditto here my friend.

  • 30 years later joe pizzulo still have that wonderful voice...I just love this song one of my favorites...long live 80's music

  • i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!

  • Tem uns 15 dias que essa música não sai da minha cabeça e tem anos que não a ouço, fiquei surpresa em saber que é do Sergio Mendes, gostei mais ainda, tô passada

  • this is awesome!!! love it!

  • the last time i saw joe pizzulo, he's kinda old but hey, the voice didn't change.

  • Wow. All these years I thought it was James Ingram's voice

  • @MrJonasx44: wow I never thought I'd read a comment like that.. it's not what I thought, but I always wanted to see James Ingram and Joe Pizzulo do a duet together.. I think their voices would harmonize well with eachother

  • Classic ballads...

  • ty hoovoo so he is italian but i cant tell the the other singer is a woman when i hear rthe music without visual therfore i think could of used a better female vocal

  • Sergio didn't write the song and he doesn't sing it!!!??? uhhh..okay???

  • In my opinion Sergio Mendes is a genius

    Congratulations to american people !!

    From Moscow with love

  • @iurikorolev Sergio didn't write the song and he doesn't sing it.....those two singers got RIPPED OFF

  • One of the greatest songs ever written/sang... But am I the only one to recognize the fact that this is lip-synced? :(

  • @PwninPwn why? who think's it is live????

  • @PwninPwn That's how the show "Solid Gold" was produced back in the 80's. Basically it was the U.S version of the U.K's "Top of the Pops"! Everything was lip synched an the short versions of the songs were used. Note that the second verse sung by the female singer is omitted on this song!

  • @jns12693 You are SO correct, SOLID GOLD did do an "edit" in this song, the 2nd verse & 2nd chorus.

  • @PwninPwn

I think most things on Solid Gold and Bandstand were lip synced. It's funny how when the songs fade out they just keep moving and a fade in with applause was used to distract from it. It's a cheap way to do a song in a "live" setting. And it really should be embarrasing to the singers and musicians. If the songs had a cold ending it would be less obvious.

Having said that I'm glad that someone like Sergio Mendes was abld to get exposure on a popular music show in the 80's.

  • @PwninPwn 00----too good for live---just like record---think youre right

  • @PwninPwn

    sadly it is....

  • an all time favorite song.....

  • love it

  • One of favourite song

  • Awesome, unforgettable...

  • Brazilian Sergio Mendes!!! I love!!!

  • this was my song for my first and only love MARIA BELEN , i still think about her

  • YEah jelly fish penny candy and big bols gum in the brown paper bags sharing with ur sweety.
