I actually have been around since the Chiefs adopted it and while I was born when the Braves did I wasn't old enough to have been aware of it. A quick google search will fortify what I said (as that is how I came across it when I first was curious about it). Regardless, there's no need to be hostile just because you're wrong... Accept the information and move on knowing more than you did before.

brooks errors are only magnified due to the braves not being able to score runs...everyone makes errors...but the offense couldnt score 1 single run so any run allowing error by anyone would have been distaster. poor brooks was just the unlucky one...but i look forward to seeing him this year.

I can remember I used to be in marching band years ago in high school, I hated that school and transfered to Mt. Juliet Christian. One home game the other team's band started playing the Chop. They told me to sit down and stop, but I didn't. Only a TRUE Braves fan would do that. I was later kicked out of that band and then quit concert band. That was my freshman year in high school. I left LHS and went to MJCA winter of 10th grade year and never went back to that hell hole LHS!

that's the great thing about baseball. leave no room for errors. work hard, play hard, retire & take your number w/ you. May the best man win & in this case the best man was the giants. The Freak is crazy awesome. this nlds is definitely the nlds of pitchers.

@ladygagafan1002002- don't talk too much if you don't have facts or instances to back it up. Had the tables been turned & Bochy was retitring, you better believe the Braves would have done the same thing. Kinda like the oct 2 game i attended where the braves (in the middle of the cox tribute) gave an ovation to the phills for them clinching the east. Class & greatness? Oh I think so. Hey I'm pulling for the Giants to take it all but right now the statistics don't favor them.

The chant was actually started at Florida State - they've been doing it for +50 years!!! And it started in Atlanta - because Deon Sanders played for the Braves and the Falcons - and he went to Florida State - and it was to make him feel at home!!!!!!

I hate to break it to you Giats fans but the Phills are going to own your team (don't worry I'm pulling for the giants too even tho they beat my braves. Really if they don't it's a total fluke. oh just just thank the dynamics of baseball that you guys made it this far. Had it not been for the errors u prolly wouldn't have.

For the record, I'm Philly fan and I still like the braves. And don't even try to compare the phillies to the Yankees in the sense of buying talent, just because they've got some money to put into player salaries and draft picks doesn't mean they need to be demonized for it. If your beloved team was the more successful one, you would understand...
And as a side note I'm a Red Sox fan at heart so I feel your pain right now.

Disappointed to see the braves lose this one.......I am a die hard dodger fan, but I have to admit, this here is the best theme/chant in all of baseball. I started following the braves since mcann had the clutch hit for the NL to win. I would have loved to play you guys in the playoffs. And I would have loved to have seen u tomahawk the f****n giants and the phillies. Lol. Congrats to Bobby cox. And well see u next year braves!!

I don't know if it's out of pure jealously that gets the opposing fans rocks off or what but when it comes down to it, deep down in their hearts, when they think of the Braves they have to think of greatness & class.

@brandicasper23 greatness & class? give me a break. they're a good team, yes, but no class. did you see the way the giants stopped their on field celebration to pay their respects for bobby cox? that's class. The braves would have NEVER honored an opposing team manager like that, especially if they had just advanced.

@brandicasper23 Yeah, exactly. As a baseball fan not just a yankee fan I always respected what those braves teams did. Its a shame they didn't win more world titles, but overall they still dominated the NL and NL East for so many years. I don't think anyone is going to come close to what they did in many years to come as far as playing solid baseball season after season in the NL. Not even the current phillies team.

Man I remember the yankees and braves rivalry in the Series back in the 90s...now I know the yankees took both of those series including the 96 series in which the yankees were the huge underdog but those braves teams were great nontheless. Now im a huge yankee fan but I respect what the braves did in the 90s and up until 2005. I guess I became somewhat of a small fan of the braves because they played good baseball for so long. No doubt when you see that braves logo you think, postseason dynasty

I can remember I used to be in marching band years ago in high school, I hated that school and transfered to Mt. Juliet Christian. One home game the other team's band started playing the Chop. They told me to sit down and stop, but I didn't. Only a TRUE Braves fan would do that. I was later kicked out of that band and then quit concert band. That was my freshman year in high school. I left LHS and went to MJCA winter of 10th grade year and never went back to that hell hole LHS!

First you said something like the Braves have never won 5 straight div titles & been to the WS like the phils when in fact they've won 14 straight titles. Geez atleast know a lil bit about a team before you start bashing them like you do know something!

don't get too cocky & confident in your phillies. Nothing gold can stay & the Braves & Yanks, the two best teams in baseball history (hate the yanks btw) are self evident of that. The Phils will never have the run the Braves had from 1991-2005 & that's okay, you'll live. You cannot win w/ me cause I will not lose. Braves fan NO MATTER WHAT till the day I die.

while it doesn't prove that the team as a whole is great for the no hitter (maybe for defense even though there was no great defensive play to be made in tonights game), Halladay is great & deserves a Cy Young. Hey it's not the Phillies organization that I hate, it's the fans. Fans like you that could stand a bit of a "history" lesson in baseball. Braves good? Yes. Anyone w/ any kind of knowledge & respect for the game & those that play it will tell you the same...
